mga bro post mog pixx sa inyong mga rides....
+1 bro.. ky ako na confuse ko sa iya comment.
@deepsix
the event actually is not more of a car show but instead its called car club meet. its a gathering of all car clubs in one event. the event organized there was not for competition but instead it was created to have fellowship with other car clubs.
deepsix: i think the organizers of the club meet at the cicc last august 22-23 are reasonable people, and do welcome suggestions and criticisms.
it would, however, be most helpful if you could specify "kalat". otherwise, do dig deeper.
that event was organized in the spirit of fellowship and promotion of camaraderie among the various car clubs here in cebu. if memory serves me correctly, a club meet of this scale has never been done in the RP preceding. and it was free for the car clubs at that.
although, the most welcome result of this event was the friendship that bloomed among the different clubs. boundaries were broken, preconceived notions set aside.
cheers!

Its not that easy to organize events and then one hears this comment...The organizers for the 2nd inter auto club did a good job. I appreciate the hard works guys see you next auto meet
@deepsix:
Whilst the Cebu Inter Auto Club Meet may be perceived by some as a Car Show considering the obvious car-related displays, it is actually an annual gathering of Cebu Car Clubs in order to (as already mentioned multiple times in this thread) develop friendship and camaraderie amongst those involved, as well as display some cars of the different participating car clubs. That's what got us all together in the first place (everyone involved is a car enthusiast).
The participation of all the car dealers in Cebu (CADA) as well as our other partners and sponsors were to help subsidize some of the expenses. Of course, since we knew that the whole event would draw a crowd, it was also another avenue for them to sell their products and services considering that the end-users are also involved in the event. I believe it's safe to say that most of our sponsors as well as a lot of the participating car dealers were able to make sales from the leads generated during the event (marketing plug for next year's event ).
Maybe you were just there at a time when we were having our fellowship games, maybe you were there when there were scattered rain showers, or maybe you were there when there were just too many people or club members present for you to say that the event was "kalat ra kaayo". It would actually help if you spent some time to further elaborate on this.
We did not seek any professional help to organize the event, nor did we have a big enough budget to start with. The whole event was organized by everyone involved for all participants as well as the general public. As much as we can try to make it a great experience for everyone who visits, it is very difficult to make everyone happy. While some individuals may have perceived the event as "kalat or walay klaro", the most important thing is that most of the people who visited went home happy. Our principals (The Provincial Government of Cebu and the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce), sponsors, and all the participating car clubs (I hope) went home with a sense of fulfilment in accomplishing such an endeavour. As mentioned in this same thread by my idol , friendships were made, boundaries were broken and all pre-conceived notions were set aside.
The formation of the federation was spawned to (informally ) formalize such a gathering of car clubs and enthusiasts, as well as to develop more civic-related projects as a way for us to give back to the community and the environment. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is a "klaro" as it gets considering the infancy of the event and the federation.
It's sad to hear that you went home unhappy or not content with the event. The best thing we can tell you for now is that next year's event WILL be bigger and better. In the meantime, we're always open to suggestions, just contact Alec or Ron. hehe
Well said Pres.... Dang I love it when you delegate hehe .... Peace Bro
Master Yoda's Quote “Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
