If the number is higher than or equal to 5 --> then this bottle is safe to use. Numbers under 5 will release the chemical. For most bottled water, the number is 1. Remember to check and stop reusing those bottles.

hard clear plastic, usually indicated as a number 7 plastic on the bottom, that contains BPA.

all plastic numbered 3 and 6. number 3 (PVC) and number 6 (polystyrene) are also known to leach harmful chemicals..

to all mommies: use bpa free feeding bottles for your babies..
