Hi. The "White Marlin" I've found served in Aquafresh Manokan Country in Kalibo is delicious, indeed. But I eventually learned that it is the ESCOLAR, otherwise known as GINDARA in Tagalog.

Though, Gindara is the name of another fish, as known in Indonesia, Japan, and by this guy who wrote the post on Escolar, the Gindara marketed and known in the Philippines refers to none other than Escolar, the wax-rich fish we eat as "White Marlin" in restaurants.

Blue Marlin doesn't seem to cause this condition, as far as I know.
