if u don't have a heart rate monitor to stay with ur pace try the talk test it's very effective for beginners.. while running speak two words enuf that you won't catch yer breath..if the pace is too fast u would hardly speak 2 words but if it's too slow it might be more than two..so keep the rythm "FUN RUN"
