i think it goes without asking if 1 absolutely has to choose between 1 or the other and no other options in sight.

i'd choose to get lower pay of course. simply goes with logic. i can always try to look for other opportunities if i wish to.

anyway at this point with what i have and what i'm used to i'm fortunate enough not to need my employment to survive. unfortunately not everyone has the privilege.

As far as I know, the Labor Code here in the Philippines does not allow pay cuts...basic wage cannot be lowered or cut, you can have 0 increase but it doesnt allow for benefits and wage to be slashed.

Mostly man gud mga pinoys..mag salig ra sa ilang regular work.. why not find another sideline / freelance?

If naa ka regular work + sideline i dont think ma affected ka sa crisis..

I agree with flanker. Learn to stand on your own feet and get a freelance gig or your own business bisan gamay lang. I know this is a big gamble, but it's much better than relying completely on regular work. Once the company collapses, you collapse too.

geroa jud aning flanker wui bwahahaha... salig ka da maglingkod-lingkod lang ka sa imong freelance.

sakto man pud na ang freelance, pero effective lang na og web based o computer based imong trabaho. Mostly man nato mga Pinoys kay hard laborers. Di kaau epektibo ang freelance. Kung maka sideline work pud ka patay2 pud sa lawas, di man preha anang internet o computer based jobs nga lingkod-lingkoran lang.

ok bitaw na freelance... but i sure lang pod nga dili magtulog tulog sa freelance nimo... kay if matulog ka for sure magkadugay maka bantay nana imong client... maka daot sa among reputation sa imong mga kapwa pinoy nga nindot og performance sa ilang mga clients...
