thanks for the information here. they taught me a lot.

are there 52mm macro filter that has a flat lens like a flat tv screen? due to i bought one and its lens is curved(bulging), similar to old television screen. curved lens seems to soften sometimes the sides of the macro photo plus it shallows more the depth of field even if the aperture number is maximized much. are they any? what is this square filter, is this the one which the lens is flat on both sides?

question.. what's a macro filter for? does it magnify or enhances the details and/or colors, etc. of the macro subject?

yes, it magnifies the subject to certain ratio of the frame's size. giving you bigger and nearer view of the subject. thus enhances details as well. i have a 10+ 52mm macro filter here but guess i have to sell it here in istorya soon. i want to try a lesser setup due to i mostly getting hard to find the sweet spot of my shooting.

i have visited pixel pro but they have no macro for 52mm. only uv haze filter. their other stocks, as their salesgirl told me, are still coming.

you can be as close as you want to get with the ext tube pointless adding macro filter. just ruins the image quality.
