one of the best movies this year but not for the intellectually-marginalized or repressed moralist kay this movie has a strong sexual (but not graphic) nature and tackles some realistic things that happens in a relationship.
for some this movie demands to be watched again, if only to have a good grip of the ideas and slightly tricky plot of the movie.
natalie portman confirms our longstanding suspicion that she is a good actress in search of a good movie (none of those "cutesy" vehicles that she's used to in the past)... this movies catapulted her to the real serious actor category...
of course jude law and clive owen were brilliant but julia roberts' role was underwritten (maybe purposely) and she can be replace by any good actress without drastically changing the whole feel/atmosphere of the movie.
9/10
but not for the repressed moralist or the gumps!
Technically this was a 2004 release, right? But anyway, we've seen it THIS year.
But this is one movie that ought to be viewed in a theater as you can hear the different kinds of reactions from a crowd. The one that had the most reactions was Jude Law pretending to be Julia Roberts in the chatroom.
