Well I think next season the lakers will really change and improve their game, especially kobe bryant. because right now he knows deep inside that it was a wrong move what he did and wouldnt accept it. I think if he starts early next season doing what he did, 3 wins against the suns. Everything would stir up and change kobe's reputation as a selfish player to a team player. But first he has to admit that he made a big mistake, then fans can learn to apprieciate him what his doing.

first of all, kobe has to mature next season. he is a very good player but he doesnt have the heart. lets compare him to michael jordan. if you put jordan in the lakers in game 7. he will definitely stand out. and kobe? nothing remarkable. second, odom and kwame brown should be more involved. not only bryant taking all the points. and third. a major trade, or get a good rookie. anyway, phil jackson is still there to lead them

What most people dont seem to understand is that, if Kobe took over that game, it wouldnt have made a difference. The Suns were clearly unstoppable and the rest of the Lakers have lost the will to play after game 6. Game 7 was over before it even begun. So regardless if Kobe took over or not, the results would have been the same. Besides, I think he did the right thing, getting back into the ball game as a team, not just an individual.

Anyway, next year, theyll be more tougher.

well said. if you look at the 3 wins that the lakers had in the series kobe scored no more than 29 points and the suns didn't score over a hundred. everytime the suns score over a hundred they win. kobe was sticking to the gameplan which was slow the tempo, if you get into a shootout with the suns you lose. they failed to slow down the tempo which lead to their demise.
just because you're the leader it doesnt mean that you have to score 50 to win.

You don't have to score 50 points but you also don't have to show signs that you're giving up either. Kobe just gave up... talk about leadership.

So close yet so far. I feel so sorry for the lakers. They could have won the series in game 6, before that 3 point shot that Tim Thomas scored in the closing seconds of regulation and tied the game. If Popovich was the coach, he would have told the lakers to foul one of the phoenix players, instead of defending and taking the risk of someone shooting from the 3pt line.

and that's what sets coach phil jackson apart from the rest of the coaches.
he won't settle for one of those cheap jungle tricks.
though i agree with coach pops mentality of fouling. a win is a win.
but phil's in a whole different level.
