the difference, jordan looks to win. kobe looks to win, but his priority is individual glory. after all, he has 3 championships (thanks to shaq).
game 7 agianst the suns could be compared to jordan's game 7 against the knicks. imagine kobe bryant playing for jordan's place during that time. jordan led the bulls over the very physical and intense new york while bryant just sobbed against the suns. between the knicks in 1992 and the suns now? the knicks are definitely better (of course, because, stoudemire is out).
kobe has still a long way to go and grow. numbers and statistics doesnt spell a champion, its the will and the heart and the maturity towards the game. and as of now, kobe is zero in that department
