As far as I can remember, sa ako mga nabasahan sa history sa cebu. It was a gift by Magellan to the wife of the cheiftain of Cebu who was Humabon. It was black kay before daw, (way way later a2ng pagHatag sa Sto. Nino) nasunog daw na ang cmbahan nga gibutangan sa Sto. Niño. (I'm not sure if Basilica de Sto Niño ba ang nasunog, nalimot naq) And to their surprice ang Sto Niño nga imahin ky ala naapil og kaugdaw, igo ra xa naitom. So mao na itom ang mga Sto Niño nga gpangHimo ron, ky ang orginal itom man. Sa sunstar q nakaRead ani, way way back a2ng elementary pako. kana gud issue sa sunstar kada sunday sauna, naa na nakuyog nga mura og magazine then naa column didto about sa history of cebu.

- Some may even not know it , the image actually started as a " DOLL " in BELGIUM which was a gift to the Spanish Queen/s wedding whom she gave it to Magellan as a lucky charm for his expedition .
- The very reason why it was painted black since dolls back in the days represents the people . BELGIUM are occupied by white people / caucasians .. meaning puti ang imahen .
- To make it short and sweet .... HINATAG ni MAGELLAN ang IMAGE .

the Sto. Nino de Prague does not necessarily wear green. I have one given me by some friends who went to the Czech Republic (wa ko manghambog ha, hehehe). He's wearing red much like the Senyor here in Cebu...
