GMA is playing her politics again. IMO, this is a desperate move by Malacanang. Though it is politically a smart move but it is not necessarily morally right. Chavit should not be given any position in government if they have the delicadeza which i seriously doubt they have.

i think it is not a "desperate move" coz there's nothing to be desperate about having Chavit as Deputy NSA. AFAIK, he is already an admin ally ever since he spilled the beans on Erap. I would agree this is a "VERY smart move".

and being "morally right", i think it would depend on every person's thinking. Some would say it is morally wrong, but his constituents in Ilocos Sur might say otherwise. Besides, asa man ka mo base nga morality if it's right or wrong? based sa iyahang pagkatawo mismo via church morality, personal morality, or legal morality?

If it's church morality, then this argument will go a long long way. Lisod na, maabot pa nya ta ug hisgot sa bibliya ani. If it's personal, aw to each his own. If legal, well, this IMHO, is more proper for this kind of issue.

Remember, he is THE LIVING HERO OF ILOKANDIA, The FATHER OF RA 7171. He is also regarded as the Hero of EDSA 2.

Unfortunately, he had a history of being a ganglord, a jueteng lord, a gambler, a womanizer. A taint to his name. and IMHO, i am not really sure he is a changed man. But i don't wanna throw stones at him coz like all of us, we also deserve some stones at some points in our life.

So let's give the benefit of the doubt. Let us see if Chavit would be worthy of his new position. He is doing well as Governor, let's see if he does well as Deputy NSA.
