Mr. HImantayon, TAbi-an, CHIsmosa, it is obvious that you are trying to instigate a fight among people who don't require "faith" (the meaning according to your standards) in their lives and between your kind of people who defines faith according to your bible. when a "faithless" person would try to say something to make his point, you would quote something from the bible to invalidate his point. thereby ridiculing his so-called "insufficient" knowledge of the bible. i know how you guys work. you like to make others inferior by making yourselves fanatically knowledgeable with the bible. does that answer your question why this thread of yours is pointless?

Faith apart from the work of Christ on the cross saves you not. Even if you have the strongest faith in the world, if Christ did not die on the cross for our sins, our faith is vain.


Faith in order to be saving must rest on the saving foundation--the Savior and what He did on the cross.



Think about this for a moment:

Let's suppose God was eternally, completely and perfectly satisfied with the work of Christ on the cross for our complete salvation. It is done. It is finished. We dont add to anything that has perfectly, eternally and completely satisfied God. What remains to be done on our part? Nothing, except to be satisfied with it also by faith.


Those who believe that the work of Christ on the cross has eternally, perfectly and completely satisfied God with regards to our salvation believe that salvation is through faith alone. But those who believe that the work of Christ on the cross was not complete and perfect say that it is not through faith alone.
