Women tend to be more affected physically by marital stress and arguments
than men, a finding that contradicts earlier research, says psychologist
Scott Stanley of the University of Denver's Center for Marital and Family
Studies.

Several studies now show that poorly handled marital conflict "has negative
effects on the cardiovascular system (your heart), endocrine (hormones) and
immune system functioning" of both men and women, Stanley says.

"The latest research shows that women take the greater hit when it comes to
bodily stress reactions related to conflict in marriage," Stanley says in
the revised edition of his Fighting for Your Marriage, co-authored with
Howard Markman and Susan Blumberg and due this fall from Jossey-Bass.

His message to both sexes: "Do you want to live long and prosper? Take good
care of your mate and your marriage."

So if a man loves his wife, he will try his best not to give her financial stress and other stresses.

Independence? Dude, I tell you there are plenty of trade offs if you prefer your wife to be independent, there's a very thin line to them becoming too independent. You wanna look for an independent woman? They are mostly workaholic, career women. Them who love their jobs, take their jobs home, and goes home late at night because of their job. They impose on equality in the household. And generally, it erodes the husbands central position in the family.

b4 katung naa pay work akong bf, he'd pamper me with every single thing i want..and really, having those made me feel happy considering the person who gave it to me and what he gave..
now? he's really broke. as in super broke na miskang piso wla jud cya..(luoy nuh?) and xempre girls always have "want" urges bya jud no matter what, which includes "honey, can u buy me this? or honey, buy me a dog pls?" iyang ma-ingon ra tawn kay paningkamutan nya..and its nice bya to hear mu ingon cya paningkamutan nya even tho u know he doesnt have a single money..but honestly? never ni sud sa akong mind na i'd leave him bcoz he's so damn broke..i love the guy, why would i leave him dba? leaving a person behind especially times when u need her the most would cause an emotional breakdown and some anxiety disorders..
all im saying is..a girl nver leaves a guy if she does truly love him. life is all about sacrifices and problems. this is just some trials to see if a couple makes their way thru. f they do then that would may everyone happy. if they don't well, let's just say there's someone out there alot better than that person. life is life. its what makes the world go round. ryt?

all i'm saying is, byaan lagi kay way kwarta ang lalaki...dba? pareha sa example ni @Xenodite, her bf used to have money but now he's broke, ni bisan pang gas siguro or palit napkin para sa iyang gf wala siya, nya everytime mu ask siya sa iyang bf, mu ana intawn iyang bf "paningkamutan lang na nato hon", at least bisag kahibaw ta nga way kwarta, naa sa iyang mind nga maninguha siya maka trabaho para ma satisfy iyang gf.

Yes, that is if you're already trying to picture a future with him. I'm a romantic but I'm a practical person too.. I wouldn't want to end up with someone who can't provide for me, not for my wants but for my needs... I would leave a guy who has no dreams, tamad, no passion.. I want to be with someone who's passionate about the work that they do, I do not want to be with someone who doesn't even have a clear idea of what he wants out of life.

and just to add to that, it's not actually about the guy not having money, it's more on uhh... how do I say it ba... kana bang lalake nga walay pangandoy, walay drive, walay goal sa life....you work hard to earn money, the guy doesn't have to be rich, for as long as he has a stable job and is hardworking, you can always work things out.. and if I end up with someone nga walay kuwenta, which I hope not, I definitely will leave the guy, we don't live on LOVE alone... we have to eat noh
