OT: HSDPA is the new 3G technology replacement of UMTS. These are both called 3G by Globe and Smart but actually in a more technical manner, HSDPA is call or termed as 3.5G
UMTS = 384kbps
HSDPA = 1.4mbps
HSDPA is downward compatible and will work with UMTS phones thats why people right now can video call and surf the internet on their mobile phones at 384kbps speed na. (ONLY FOR 3G enabled phones)
But imagine if you are using an HSDPA phone surfing at 1.4mbps..
