Working in call center is really bad for health?

i like my job..although call center ko for almost 4 years, wa man ko kadawat ug calls nga irate..out bound sales man ko..so i handle my calling time..ako tag iya sa akong cubicle, headset, dili rotating shift, sat-sun ang off, i can travel any time, anywhere even out of the country, i love the people, i love the pay with commission, i can eat, sleep, have popo any time while on duty..dili parehas sa ubang cc nga limited ang breaks..maka palit kug pan sa julies anytime I want while on duty. In short healthy akong working environment, stress is never an issue to me kay part na jud na..bisan elementary student ma stress man gani..stress is infinity..

Health issues for me kay depende ra sa life style sa tawo..kung cc agent ka, naa ra nimog mo smoke kag taman sa ginhawa ug mag paka hubog sa kape..depende ra jud na..eat lang healhty food..no alcohol and bad food..depende ra sa tawo ug sa trabaho..

well, nkatiming kag very nice nga call center that's why u say so. u said dpende ras life style, but ur job is part of your lifestyle, what if stressful kau imo job, meaning stressful pud kaayo imo lifestyle? so streesful lifestyle will also be a stressful health. we're talking here a call center job & you said dpende ras tawo og trabaho. well, this thread will prove that call center is really bad for health coz most of the call center firm is working 24hours a day & if ur assigned in nightshift magcge lang kag pangafee kay para mapugngan imo katologon then every day na nimo gnabuhat. after work uli kas inyo then deli pa jud ka mkatolog kay ang mag tao sa inyo saba kaayo like your mga siblings, or mga anak, mga igsoon. maayo lag sa village ka nagpuyo or subdivision, pananglit sa duljo or pasil ka nagpuyo deli jud ka mkatolog. So para nko ang bad for health jud ni ang magwork kas call center.

naa sad ka point boss..as what ive said..depende ra jud sa work ug sa tawo. Pero in my case as a CC agent..ok ra tanan, di man gud rotating shift daun fixed shift tanan sked. I dont drink coffee or softdrinks kay nag bantay sad ko sa caffeine intake nako, dako man gud factor ang caffeine sa lawas, samot na kung mo sleep nako. Sa akoa sad dorm kay hilom sad ma buntag so makatug rakog tarong.

Di man jud malikayan nga hazard ni nga type nga work kay gi manipulate ang body clock. pero naa ra jud na sa person unsaon niya pag dala. Kung mag abusar aw xa ra sad ang mabulahan sa effects..

If you know you are worthless then you will feel that way. But if you know your worth then kevz. Kahibawo ka unsa sila ka bogo mo stoop down jud ka sa ila level? Loser au ka ana. After all they don't know you and you don't personally know them. Again, if dignity ang issue walay trabaho nga maka guarantee og respect.

Tabla ra og mo ingon ka nga naka timing ka og maayo nga kumpanya sa MEPZ. Ug usa pa, ang call center ra ba gud ang naay night shift?

Again, why do we keep on singling out call center? Does the fact that one is a call center agent directly affect his/her health? Or is it the nature of the work and so many other factors?

What if call center nga dili stressful? What if pang morning shift? What if walay bisyo?

So to answer TS question, it is safe to say Call Center per se isn't bad for health. Let us try to filter it. How about we say, "Working night shift in a stressful call center paired with vices and lack of sleep, stupid callers, insensitive boss, unhealthy lifestyle and noisy surroundings is bad for health" More like it, eh?

Bay, I was not teaching you professionalism coz I am in no position to do so. Wa ta kahibawo mas professional pa diay ka nako. I was merely reminding (not you directly but the readers in general) about professionalism wherein personal issues should not be affecting the work. Conversely, however dumb one's caller is should not affect his/her disposition. Kung magyawyaw, payawyawa. Kunga mamalikas, warning dayon i-end ang call. Ingon ana lang. I am just pointing out na whatever your work is if dili ka professionalism, dili jud nimo mahandle ang pressure.

As for your work, let me ask you do you handle people? As for the strictest guidelines, I just wish it would not add pressure to your work.

pagsure oi, ikaw wka nmasa sugod sa 1st page da, ur right wla ko ka work sa call center but my sis did, i mean until now shes working in that type of company. evrytime i see her from work, shes like a lousy vegetable, their company always put her on graveyard. dagko na kau syag eyebags actually. mao bya ni nangsikat na company krn CALL CENTER kuno, daghan nman ang nangreklamo but come with no choice kay lage taas og sweldo, lisud mangitag trabaho pero mas kapoy jud kaayo ang CALL CENTER

It's a challenge for some people to adjust to working at night. Callcenters, like any other jobs that have night shifts [nurses, doctors, security guards...], require a big adjustment in sleeping habits. I've been there because I was once a call center agent. Sleep in the day if you are in the night shift and follow it strictly.
