maybe you failed to understand it.. but this is an 'if" thread...

i know your point, and it's true... but since the TS specified "if".. then this statement is as good as void..

    Back to recent topic

I can't imagine God as some scientific being...

so what if what you believe in was proven false will you change? or just continue on what you believe in that is the question.
    My point is----
I will not put too much weight on my faith.
If I was wrong with my belief,
    nothing will change,
since my life in not based mostly on faith.
My life is based on universal principles.

Life goes on without faith, right or wrong.

it depends , as long as you don't stay with the assumption when its already proven wrong then its healthy.

a God with an organic body?? what more can you think about a scientific being??

basically, God is just some imaginary abstract idea that was conceptualized by pure common sense that there's something more bigger than us....

ofCourse it would be ridiculous to think that we're all here without any reason to existence, at all...

God as a scientific being, despite earth being proved to be the one rotating the sun, is something unthinkable... unless if it's proven that we're all just products of some crazy ass experiment..

    and I'm OT already..

i opened my mind.. im open to both what you guys call the "good" and the "evil"..

good and evil is really subjective.. what is important is to know the reason why such actions occur..

    examples:

1.) abortion - if you say that is bad you are already a close minded person, if you say its good, you are also close minded person and most probably your a psycho..

before saying abortion is good/bad. we have to ask why is it done in the first place.. if we use our religion or preset beliefs to think. then we are already close-minded. we have to consider why the mother did it.. probably the mother cannot support the child, and there are no willing foster parents.. so the mother has no other option.. (ipa-adopt?, just like a good christian, muslim, jew, etc, pero kinsa man jud willing mo adopt beh... hehehe it goes to show nga close minded pud kay ang beliefs dili followed by actions)

2.) war - war costs lots and lots of lives.. if you say "generally" good or bad then your a close-minded person.. again you have to examine why war is waged n the first place.. sure, some guy wants the other guy's goods.. its not greed, you have to examine first why the other guy wants the other's goods or land.... if war is not really necessary, then its bad.. if it serves a greater purpose its good.. (by higher purpose i mean material things.. not religion..) - "war is an extension of politics"-carl von clausewitz

again, to have an open mind is to continually question everything around you...

Yes jam jam ra ta about God.
Since we are all not designed to know God.

All we can do is speculate about God.

If God wanted us to know him,
he would simply give us the senses to experience and know his presence.
