Never read the Bible? When the apostles prayed for healing of someone, are they not interceding for that someone to God? Why didn't they just tell the person to pray to Jesus and be healed?

So, you believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - three persons in one God. Yet, that belief was disputed early on and the Catholic Church combated the heresy and formally defined the dogma of the Trinity.

Why deal with speculations? I am grateful to be a Christian.

    EROTICA

"You have heard it said, 'Do not commit adultery', but this I say to you, whoever
looks at a woman with lust has already commited adultery with her in his heart."

    - Matt. 5: 27, 28

In here, it is clear that Jesus exposes the deception of the voyeur's leer. Have you ever been aroused by seeing a girl bend down getting a revealing look at her thighs? Have you been aroused when you saw Naomi Watts in her black undies in THE RING?

The truth is, all of us are tempted, it is a part of our endurance and while many of us Christians, especially males indeed stumble (Dan 11: 35 ) and eventually try the "disconnected" method of ***, only then does it become an abomination. Temptation itself isn't a sin, it only becomes a sin when we begin to dwell on it.

Paul writes "all the other sins a man commits are outside his body, but for the man who commits sexual immorality, he sins against his own body, did you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?" (1 Cor. 6: 19 )

Our abilities to be aroused by the opposite *** are indeed God-given but just misused. Paul warns us: "since we know God, we should control ourselves in a manner that is holy and acceptable NOT in passionate lust like the Gentiles do" - 1 Thes. 4: 5 - 6

Those who believe in Jesus and are in Christ Jesus will see no condmenation or death (Jn 8: 51, Rom. 8: 1 ) But believing is genuinely THINKING all the time about the Son of God by meditating on Scripture thinking about how Christ has already reconciled you with God, for adoption(1 Jn 5: 3 -5, Eph. 1: 5) as it helps us to overcome any undesirable cravings. The sinful mind cannot please God, mind you (Rom. 8: 7 ). There are different levels of BELIEVING. There are those who profess Jn 3: 16 but resort to "easy believism" that an unBiblical theology brought by hedonistic "Christians" who distort the truth about genuine fidelity.

"Wash away the evil from your heart, O Jerusalem. How long will you harbor wicked thoughts?"
    - Jer. 4: 14

Believing in Christ is Believing that we can overcome the pleasures of sin by responding to the call of the Spirit that reaps eternal life NOT the call of the flesh, that reaps destruction (Gal. 1: 8 8 )Â* Then and only then will our minds be slaves to the Spirit but if we do sin our bodies will be the only slaves to sin (Rom. 7: 21 - 25 )

Because the one who is born of God cannot go on sinning because the Spirit of God is with him (1 Jn 3: 9 ) This meaning of this of course is the abandon of the old habits of PERSISTING in sin, if we accept Christ's sacrifice for our sins then we must also abandon sin, grieve for our sin and be willing to commit ourselves to following Him.

If you are someone who has accepted Christ but have not yet abandoned your former self (Eph. 4: 24 ) then NOW is the time to take a Biblical reconsideration and a complete departure from your ungodly habits.

"Whatever is holy, whatever is pure, whatever is acceptable and whatever is righteous - if anything commendable to God think about such things."
    - Philippians 4: 8

Well, one may be free to change religion but Truth is unchanging.
