OT: time will tell, bro. just read history, what we now consider as myths (greek & roman gods) were previously worshipped in ancient times. christianity is just a young religion (2000 yrs plus) if you compare it with other religions (existing and bygones).

^^ mao, I'm actually thinking the same thing, religions rise and fall. Maybe somewhere in the distant future it would be a relic of our old culture.

a more likely scenario is that religion is going to evolve. That's how it has kept itself relevant in our society. It has to keep changing itself (Catholics call this "reinterpreting the gospel to the signs of the times")..

The church is a master at doing that... and that is the secret to its survival.

Sauna ang pope mura man to ug warlord leading his troops into battle and doing Gods work....

Now that we have established governments and military, the church leader is more of a spiritual leader and a link to God.... in the future... who knows.... basta I know mu evolve nasad ni ang church when faced with the prospect of losing its relevance in society.

This proves istoryamember is right. Naa nai bikil gihatag sa imong atubangan you look to the "bright side" of the priests and the church. (Not that I'm saying this said priest is bad. I'm just pointing out your unfounded positive attitude.)

If ang attitude sa mga full hearted believers is always the bright side in spite of overwhelming negativity, then that would mean no one is guilty. Ato nalang buhian tanang mga piniriso ug dili nalang ta mangdakop sa mga kriminal. Kai "bright side" ra man tan-awn. Dili ni exaggeration, I am trying to illustrate the effects of your mindset.

So if we were to keep following your "positive" attitude, bro: Si Ampatuan, nagmassacre sa mga media ug women, ato nalang buhian kai "nakatabang siya sa muslim mindanao"? Diba? We all know he also did some positive things where he lived.

A wrong act with positive results doesn't make it right. WRONG IS WRONG.

Kung nangawat ko ug kurakot na politician, dapat PRISOHON gihapon ko. Dili kai "Sige nalang kai kurakot man tong tawhana. Mirisi lang pud na gikawatan ni tokidoki."

Or in a realist approach, bahala na ang pari nanglugos ug bata basta lang nakatabang siya sa kadaghanan. Was that what you are inclined to say?

Or in short, Robin Hood SHOULD go to jail no matter how many poor people he helped because he is still a THIEF. That is my mindset.

nagsakit naman gani imong buot nga ikaw ra nagbagutbut diha.

maskin dili na magdown bai. With Pope Benedict, I think Vatican 2.0 is not so appealing to you anymore.

Asa ka na religion mobalhin sunod pre?

Yep, that's why Catholics don't like the new pope coz he has unconventional/orthodox ideals. I'd imagine necrotic is not a fan of him either.

I think Pope Benedict will appeal to another group of believers but definitely not the present ones.
