Q3. When you have communion, why is it that it's only the Priest WHO can drink the wine and not the churchgoers also? Didn't the Lord said in His last supper, "THIS CUP IS THE NEW TESTAMENT IN MY BLOOD; DO THIS AS OFTEN AS YOU DRINK IT, IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME".

bro di na lang ko mo comment sa uban nimo post kay sure ko naa man lain manubag...pero on the issue about only priests drinking the wine....that is not entirely true....i have been to churches where duha ang linya during communion....for the host (body of Christ) and for the wine (blood of Christ)....siguro dili lang commonly practiced everywhere....especially sa Pinas...economic reasons siguro...ang pinaka basic lang ang gibuhat (the host).

correct... kay mahal kaau ang wine sa pinas... outside sa pinas, most of the church have a line for wine, some deep the host into the wine before eating it.... its just how the local tradition do the mass...

I agree with Gwyn regarding the host and wine where only the priest are drinking wine. I think it's financial reasons more than anything specially in Philippine catholic churches. it's prevalent in the U.S, Canada and other first world countries where there are two lines during communion, one fo the host and the other for the wine.

Remember, at the time the Rosary was created, music was not readily available. There were no recordings and performers were expensive to hire. Not everyone could play music either. So chants were used as background music during contmeplation and mental prayer.

From a practial perspective, the Hail Mary is easier to say. The prayers in the Rosary are like the chants in the Jewish temple and those of the early Christians. They are like "background music", which are used to help one contemplate the Mysteries. You aren;'t supposed to pray each one, meaning each and every word at the very moment it is said. That's silly and very difficult! The Hail Marys are like chants, like background music.

But HOW does God save? He did NOT give you His message in a lightning bolt. He propagates it through a Church, through religion. Without religion, you will not hear about God.

Q1. Why do Roman Catholics address the Priest as Father; and most of them go and pray to the saints and to Mary? Why do you confess your sins to the priest? Didn't the Lord commands in the 10 Commandments, THOU SHALL NOT HAVE OTHER GODS BEFORE ME. Didn't Jesus Christ said in the Bible that, I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, NO ONE GOES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT BY ME?

Because ALL these things are commanded by God in the BIble. Catholics do NOT worship siants or Mary. They worship ONLY God. Please see the earlier posts on this issue.

Q2. Why you call Mary "Virgin Mary"?and also why you address Mary as "Holy Mother"? Didn't you know that Mary had children after Jesus Christ and the father of these children is Joseph? So, if a lady gave birth again, is she still considered as VIRGIN? Jesus Christ addressed Mary before He was crucified as "WOMAN" not Mother.

There is NO record that Mary ever had any other children. The "brothers" of Jesus is incorrectly rendered in English. In the original Hebrew, the verse also meant "cousins".

And the early Christians clearly believed Mary remaineda virgin. This is evident from early Christian histrical documents. Also see:

The churchgoers can also drink from the cup! In fact, that is the practice in many small churches. But there is a practical reason why they do not drink: there is a chance that the blood will be spilled, thus desecrating it. This is especially true in large congregations.

All Catholic Traditions are based on the truth that Jesus gave to the Apostles. There isn't a single Catholic dogma that goes against what Jesus taught. Again, please see the earlier posts in this thread for more information.

bro...on this i disagree...there are many catholic dogmas which go against Christ's wisdom...but knowing you...you will not even listen to my arguments and maybe accept that they could be right...so I rest my case....

Well, maybe that's because you DO NOT HAVE A CASE AT ALL. You have to prove your claims. And so far, you haven't been able to. I prove my claims. The least you can do is to prove yours. Simply "resting" your case does not prove it. But it DOES prove you have nothing to back it up.

anyway i do not need to prove my "claims" ...you look around you and it is very obvious...it is all over you...the contradictions of Catholic dogmas with Christ's intention

1 - celibacy of priets -- why? why are they forbidden from love and companionship? because of centuries old doctrines? To serve God is not to forgo one's heart....do you really think it makes Jesus happy that his priests are subjected to this restriction and as a result "sin" because they are just human?

2 - marriage - - - why only between man and woman? why persecute those who love differently from others? Love should be shared by all without restriction.....ngano gina persecute man jud tawn ang third ***? why is it nga gi label man jud sila as sinners? You think Jesus is happy with that? When God made man in his image and likeness....ni ingon diay nga "He made all creatures except ang mga bayot and tomboy"....

3 - why only men can become priests? - - ako babaye man ko...nahan ko mo serve him...why am i not allowed? (being a nun is different from what i am getting at here ha) ....ngano lalaki ra man jud puede ma Vicar of Christ? Women are as much part of God's church as men. To be called to the service of the Lord is not just a masculine endeavor. Do you think Jesus is happy nga ako pananglitan bisan ganahan unta kaayo wa na jud chance to be His Vicar?

i can go on and on...but i already know your answer...you will quote the catholic book of truths to repute my claims...and in the end "prove" your point...so maong i feel so stupid why i continue to be drawn into these discussions when i already know the outcome....

anyway....i learned a lot from you by the way...at least i can say that.
