It's not good enough that the Chief Justice should be evading taxes or worse by exploiting a possible loophole. His position is one of trust and the keyword is "justice".... he should follow the spirit of the law and be a role-model. He is very much tainted by this episode and not because he is an innocent victim, but because he consciously chose a path which would bring him and the legal system into disrepute.

@Plush
so true! mayta lng they'll make the right decision.
His repuation was tainted because of the demonizing strategies and the trial by publicity used by media and the prosecution team.
You see, he was already prejudged as guilty not on the basis of evidences but on his association with GMA and the "fake" documents presented by the prosecution.
The fact that he signed the waiver without any conditions now is a sign that he omitted the inclusion of his dollar accounts in his SALN because of (1) his interpretation of RA 6426 and because no justice ever declared his dollar account on his SALN ever. He was merely following the norm. He thus, acted in good faith.
the question here is, were the evidences presented by the prosecution team enough to grant a conviction?
