the prosecution yesterday looked really inadequate when chiz asked them yesterday on what they were gonna do.
they were so insistent for corona to sign the waiver, and when they did marag na blindside cla. i bet they didt see that coming.
they were counting on his defiance and made it look like he has something to hide.senate nlng jud.
nwei, i dont think the prosecution really built a strong case here , all up to the senate nlng jud.

Ang defense ni Corona is that 6426 is "absolute" (and that word is there in the act itself)... The clause about the SALN in the constitution says "...as provided by law"--So if it's decided that there is a discrepancy, Corona's defense is he did it in good faith and now that Corona has put forth a waiver to reveal all his assets in both dollar and peso accounts, to show that he is not hiding anything--he only tried to abide to the law AS how he interpreted it--mao ni issue before verdict.

basihan sa mga pangutana ug reaction sa mga senator-judges gahapon (except Drillon and Kiko, as expected) I think there's going to be an acquittal. Pildihun pud na sa defense ang prosecution sa oral arguments. You have two conflicting laws, WITHOUT any precedence in the SC or anywhere--you cannot convict/impeach someone for that.

But again other factors will dictate the verdict, ky political proceeding mani.

irregardless sa verdict one thing is for sure... Corona has retaliated in handing out damage to some of his detractors.

He deserves a guilty verdict regarding SALN and all monies should be thoroughly investigated. Unfortunately he may wiggle out of this one because of his selective understanding of disclosure and the mudslinging which has no doubt made a lot of people nervous. I wouldn't be surprised if the senate now wants to put the genie back in the bottle.

i wouldnt want a vengeful president to control all 3 sectors sa atong govt. there should be a balance here. we all know that Noynoy started all this.

this is true. the problem however is that CJ has already been judged and condemned by some of the judges and the public even before the trial started. thanks to media and the prosecution team.

the question now is whether or not the senators will decide based on the public's opinion or based on the evidences presented. my guess is the former.
