Do most of us really know the context of what "legalized prostitution" means?
AFAIK, these countries have them: Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Canada, England, Scotland, Netherlands, U.S., and Singapore. (correct me if im wrong)
Street prostitution can never be legalized...
Pimping can never be legalized...
Cybersex can never be legalized...
In night clubs we could. I'm not sure sa uban...
anyways, it would be next to impossible legalizing prosti here considering we are 90% christians and catholic church is very influential over the state...this would also project a negative image to the only predominantly Catholic country in the whole of Southeast Asia.
of course!!! the only way to regulate this trade is by legalizing it. it's the one of the oldest profession, by now we should realize that it's staying whether we like it or not. while we're at it why don't we legalize marijuana . . hehehehe
Maayo..ni . pro dapat higpit gyud sa requirement
mao jud para safe hehehe :mrgreen:Originally Posted by jet31

In New Zealand for example, The Prostitution Reform Act 2003 made ALL adult prostitution and brothels a legal occupation but may have too many restrictions on brothels. In fact the government has online their "Brothel Operator Certificates." There are reasonable health and safety requirements such as using condoms, local bylaws can restrict signage and brothel locations, and a provision to outlaw pimping.
In Canada, prostitution has always been legal, but its limited by the 1850 bawdy house restriction and you can't publicly solicit on a busy street or public area.
England and Scotland has gone further than Canada since "incalls" or brothels are allowed but with only one girl per flat. There are many trying to increase this limit so providers can work more safely. Of course outcall adult sexwork has always been legal but not street hookers.
UN CEDAW Article 11, section 1(c) of the treaty upholds "the right to free choice of profession and employment." The Committee has included "voluntary" prostitution in that "free choice".
they should legalize prostitution for it to be well monitored. STD's will probably curb down. I don't care if this country is a freaking christian country. Don't be such hypocrites, when it's legal it's in a controlled environment. We'll know who has STD or not
