i dont think hes dead... anybody here have seen his body?
he can change name, passport, id, ang fly to an island away from the country and have a vacation with the rest of his life hehehe
wild imagination lang ni nako ha.. ky he has a very strong personality and maka decide ra xa mag suicide? hehehe
Everyone has a choice, whether he be a civilian or enlisted man. No one ever said doing what is right is easy. This is what's wrong with this country. There is absolutely no sense of personal accountability. We make tons of excuses to justify our actions, even if we know they're wrong.
My position in life is irrelevant. I know the law, and I respect it. And I respect the people around me. The question is, did the good general respect those under him when he took the money? When he used taxpayer's money to buy lavish homes in the States?
Angelo Reyes was a man who could perfectly move himself where he pleased. His soul was his keeping alone, regardless of what he was told to do by whom. Self-righteous as it may seem, to say that doing the right thing at the time was inconvenient, is bullshit. If there really is a God, he would probably laugh at that sad excuse.
Nganu na igo ka? The General may have been, as you said, a "small fish," but it still doesn't change the fact that his actions were wrong. You could make all sorts of excuses for the man, but at the end of the day, he still put his hands in the cookie jar, just like Trillanes and Jinggoy with their 200 million in pork barrel.
You know what motivates suicides? Fear. It's always fear. Never changes. I'm pretty sure Reyes knew he done ****ed up at some point in his career.
Oh, and who would say no to 50 million pesos of stolen taxpayer's money? Not to be self righteous, but I would. And I'm sure more than a handful of people in this thread would do the same. Tell me, why is it that we are quick to condemn the thief who mugs a woman in order to feed his family, but sympathize for this man who pocketed millions of pesos? Wala ra silay kalahian. Again, saying that the circumstances forced you to break the law does not suffice. We all have a choice between what is right, and what might be the easier path to take.
