bro student.. welcome back..
who among you want to do training everyday? kidchaos student_10 and chocomai, im sure.. anyone else?
student_10 you are so right, its not that manila guys are ahead skill wise, its just theyre ahead because 1. they started first, and 2. theyve the facility, 3. theyve the right coaches/trainers, i for myself didnt have that luxury last year, but i have all of that right now, believe me its still bjj, are there any judo gyms there in cebu, the last time i got to enter a judo class was in the ymca judo, and that was way back 1996, i was wondering if they still roll, judo guys are good to spar/roll with because theyve pretty strong core strength, very hard to dislodged, and about training, our training session here (the serious ones) consist pummel drills, neck wrestling, greco roman drills, burpees, renegades etc. thats for 30 mins, then we do another 30 mins of technique drills like armbar from guard drills, traingle drills, choke drills, lockflows are good drills, afterwards youd be too bushed to roll, but with that a 5/15 mins break follows then we do phalanx, were one gets to be king and everybody alternates on him (this is for those who have fights in the coming days) or we do king of the hill, where you get to stay in the mat until you lose, or we do simple changing of partners, usually we do this if theres no particular thecnique we want to work out on, then we would have arm bar days, where all submissions must be arm bars, or choke days, or judo/wrestling days, or when i train mma its like a striker agaisnt a grappler phalanx style, grappler cant strike, striker will wear gloves (boxing gloves) and strike at will, that way you practice your defenses, well thats what i can share for now, im off to start my cardio for tonight, really suffered in that fight, but sometimes when you train so hard, training will take over for you.
by the way i read that theres a local gi maker there in cebu, is he selling gi's already or he hasnt started yet? im interested of buying a new one, my rats had the better of my gi, hehehe
lets roll
