That is short-sighted . How does that muddle the issue. You forget that the issue is whether a public servant cheated the people. The point is someone, in this case, the accused, has brought up the condition. What is the harm in that? When it turns out that nga naay di mu sign sa waiver, consequently bringing about suspicion, does that make the CJ any less guilty or any less not? Will it affect the verdict? the simple answer is no--but it will, however, bring up those public servants who are possibly crooks, plus there is a degree of security for voters to choose those public servants who opted to become transparent. The waiver may or may not play a pivotal role in the trial itself, probably the speed and conclusiveness of the trial (if the conditions of the waiver is met). But, if the clamour to sign the waiver is taken seriously, it will reap a lot of benefits for the country and give a form of reprimand for those public servants who thought they got away with it. Now's your chance to have some transparency for a select few in the government, and you're going to opt not to because the focus is on just one man? Whaaaaat?
