The moment there is an additive to up the rating ... that means , a higher price . The gas your motor burns are what you pumped in your vehicle and that is the specific OCTANE you got for your car , depending on what you prefer and can afford . We are nnot talking about PERFROMANCE here , we are talking about your silly MATH EQUATIONS regarding a cheaper gas in NY than in Phhilippines .
MAo lagi... the bottomline is DOn't trust the octane rating here....

I'm comparing REGULAR GASoline in NY to REGULAR Gasoline here..... but you insist on octane ratings....

Regular is Regular.... you say the Regular gasoline in New York has a low octane rating....

Petron XCS 95 octane is already 45.XX here going 46

Regular is 44.xx you can even deduct 2 pesos more.... and still NY regular gasoline is cheaper....

If I am not wrong , XCS was 44 PHP 3 days ago when you started this . Karon when you say REGULAR to REGULAR then dont use NY's regular ( 87 octane ) na $ 2.50 something . It could be $ 3 now who knows .

Now when you surf online and still find gas stations serving the old pricing , cheaper pricing .. that is because they are serving you the gasoline they got for that pricing mintras wala pa mo umento .

LOLZ .... are confused by OCTANE RATINGS ? Let me know aron pasabton pa gyud tika na mas sayon bewcause you seem to avoid OCTANE RATINGS as the basis of gas pricing difference .

    Walay 44 nga XCS 95.....

    its 45.xx

and Regular Gasoline in NY has 87 octane rating.... Well Regular Gasoline here would be close to that.... but they don't post the octane here... and its cheaper also... 1-2 pesos per liter cheaper

NY Regular Gasoline is still cheaper...... Again that is base on US DATA 11/20/07 Im not saying its now....

I fully understand octane rating..... but its more useful in racing than PRACTICAL PEOPLE....

Hehehe .. mao bitaw OCTANE to OCTANE .

You cant just say REGULAR to REGULAR because it can be minterpreted . And its only for racing ? Sayop ka .

Yup last time I had gas , which I know because I use XCS sa Petron paid only 44 PHp sa B. Rodriguez . Now you are syaing that in NY na price na $ 2.50 has an 83 OCTANE RATING ? Are you sure ? There are only 3 octane ratings being sold in the US GAS STATIONS , 87 , 89 and 92 . The rest are specialty gas that can reach up to 110 octane , Ethanols etc .

87 octane NY Regular Gasoline.... ( i corrected the previous post)
Regular Petron Gasoline with no octane rating is 1 peso per liter cheaper than unleaded.... so This is REGULAR to REGULAR.... even if the price is lowered by 3 pesos per liter..... NY REGULAR gasoline is still CHEAP...

Octane ratings for PRactical cars.... they don't really mean much..... people always go for the cheaper gasoline....

the price difference is still too big.....

I also POSTED the DIESEL comparisson......

Octane rating determines not the car you drive but how the driver drives . Higher octane means slower burning thus equates to higher pricing kay dugay ka ma empty while on the otherhand of regular gas which is cheaper but quicker in burning so refueling is often .

Now to the issue , I already mentioned it to you that getting the CHEAPEST gas in the US matters who had them longer as a stock . get the current pricing of the current market price of the gas they are selling then lets compare REGULAR to REGULAR wgich is the 87 octane of the US and I dont know whats in cebu but for sure , ang pinaka barato .

Put it this way ... I knew it since beginning you are confused on OCTANE RATINGS .

Get two 2007 HONDA CIVICS for example and fill up one with regular gas and the other one with the highest octane you can get in gas stations . Now compare both cars , considering the same the driving conditions , same amount of mileage and awa kinsay una ni empty .

Mao na akong gipasabot since beginning that if you want to compare something , compare it with its EQUIVALENT . Natural the higher the octane , the more expensive it is .

its not me who is confused with octane rating...... try asking a mechanic.... off topic...

This is about Practical cars used by practical people using Practical Gasoline..... Instinct will show people buy the cheaper gasoline that suits their car

    The bottom line is :

    - REGULAR GAS = fast burning
    - HIGH OCTANE GAS = slow burning

Of the same amount of the said 2 kinds of GAS , which last's longer ?

    OFFTOPIC :

What is a practical car ? What is practical people driving poractical cars ? What is practical people driving practical cars using practical gasoline ? Hehehe ....

Now its your turn to ask your mechanic when and why you should use that specific GAS for the vehicle you use .
