Well said, Mr. Larry Lozano! To add, making the no. of board top notchers as a sole basis for assessment of the "best" engineering school is a very shortsighted way of seeing it. A university is only the best when it produces top-notch graduates and its faculty are one of the leaders of their respective fields through the showcase of their research and publications. With this, I think the University of San Carlos bags the prize. With its faculty consisting of a high amount of PhDs and Master's with numerous publications and contributions targeted to the immediate society, and graduates which are also top notch, all I can say is that USC easily wins the contest.

    1. Question... asa kaha ang mas maayo... Ang Topnotcher taga UV or ang deans list alumni from Mapua or UP Diliman?

    2. Although plus points ang school, PRC license, Masters, etc..., kung dili ka maka jive sa imong boss / amo / manager, baho gehapon ka sa ta-e.... Mas influential pa ang taga CTS nga associate degree nga bata2x sa general manager.

Even if I'm both Carolinian and Teknoy, dili gehapon ko mo kompyansa sa taga lain schools here sa workplace.

You know when to strike and when to fall down intentionally. ehehehe!

There will be tuition fee increase in coming years with the implementation of K12. Its a matter of choice for the students and parents anyway its free market and democratic here in the Phils.

The high tuition fees at USC -TC is paid off and accounted for by the state-of-the-art facilities, laboratories, air-conditioned class rooms, seminar and audio-visual rooms, computerized, digital, latest instruments, equipment and machines (e.g. CNC milling) of the Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Eng'g and Industrial engineering laboratories and machine shop. The faculty of the different engineering programs have masters degree from top universities in the Phils. (UP, DLSU, Ateneo de Manila) and Doctorate degree or PhD from international universities in Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Australia and Singapore. Visiting professors from US, UK, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Singapore are invited every year to conduct specialized lectures, seminars and workshops to faculty and graduate students.

USC Talamban campus is one of largest university campus in the Phils. covering 120 hectares which is undergoing infrastructure development and envisioned to be a Univer-City campus with the largest university Library and Learning Center, university Stadium which are newly built. An Olympic standard sports facilities, state-of-the-art buildings for School of Engineering and School of Science will be built in the next 5 years. The USC Talamban campus upper portion houses separate buildings of the School of Engineering (new building), School of Science (new building), School of Architecture, Fine Arts & Design, School of Liberal Arts, Science & Math Education and School of Health Care Professions. Wide Roads with spacious pedestrian lanes, bicycle lanes and underground cables for utilities and communication lines are built and provided for the safety, convenience of the students. All buildings have separate power back-up generators, water pump sub-station, drainage, storm retention ponds and sewerage treatment system are being built. Dormitories for students, Apartelle - Townhouses for faculty and employees will be constructed as well the Carolinian Alumni Condo-Hotel with a Commercial Mall will be built with joint venture of local and foreign investors. These housing and commercial complexes will be located at the lower portion of the campus with a sprawling university gardens and terminals for public transport, hybrid electric train bus will service inside the campus to bring the students, faculty and employees to the upper portion of the campus where the Academic schools and buildings are located. The academic buildings will be linked with a university commons pathways-gardens from the new Administration building to the different schools buildings, university library & learning resource building, conference, convention and exhibition building and a new university Museum building will be built. A central plaza or square to be dubbed as Piazza San Carlos will highlight the upper academic areas of the campus. Uppermost portion of the campus with a breathtaking aerial view of Cebu City and Mandaue City where the university Stadium and Olympics sports facilities (swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, etc.); SVD religious retreat center, SVD residence building, botanical & ecological park and 30 hectares of Forest are found or located.

Many would say "depende sa esstudyante ug pag graduate pareha ra trabaho ug suweldo". Its right it depends on the students themselves, their attitude, intelligence, aptitude, efforts and academic performance especially with the Outcome Based Education (OBE) approach. That is why at USC TC we have an elimination process wherein with 100 students in first year it will be reduced to 50 or less students in third year to ensure Quality Control and maintaining the Academic Standards. We candidly advised students who failed in math, chemistry, physics, english and introductory engineering subjects to shift to other courses and many also decide to transfer to other schools.

At USC TC the teachers are given the prerogative to fail half of the class even in the finals. That is why a grade of 2.5 (80%) is a respectable grade in USC-TC while 3.0 (75%) is a normal grade of the majority. At USC TC our priority is Quality First with Reasonable Quantity.

Based on performance of different board exams for the past five years 2011 to 2015 USC-TC had the highest passing percentage in Cebu, average passing percentage as follows:

Para nako either CIT or USC. Ang bottomline ani is dapat dili kalimtan ang knowledge igkahuman ug top sa board exam. CIT ko pero naa ra gyud na sa estudyante kung maningkamot ka. So wala na magpasabot nga mas nindot ang CIT kaysa USC or the other way around.

    - - - Updated - - -

Dili lang ta manghambog ha kung asay mas nindot USC ba or CIT kay UP Diliman ra ang recognized university sa Australia...Peace. hahaha
