Default Re: Libya & QADDAFI ...FACTS THAT CANT BE DENIED --> Unsa ka tinuod?

not all true, but this is:

Few people are posting LIES about Libya during the era of Dictator Gaddafi

To those people and all of you i want to say.

We pay electricity bills once every three months and its not cheap at all.

Almost 90% of Libyans have wells for water. And the rest pays for the water they get.

The liter of gas costs about 0.12 cents. While it was only 0.02 cents before Gaddafi.

The Interest rate is about 13% in loans from banks.

Taxes are higher than any other Arab country, one of them is called the Rifle Tax (we never knew what it means till now when we found millions of them with his mercenaries)

We shouldn't have any debts as we considered one of the richest countries in the world. We should lend money not ask for it.

More than 40% of Libyans doesn't have cars, as they are really expensive and most of us can't afford buying one.

If you know someone or if you are someone then you can finish your studies overseas and get paid.

Unemployment rate in Libya is over 30% (if we were to get paid while we look for a job. Why should we work at all )

People get married around the age of 40 (for men) and the age of 30 (for women) just because they wont be able to support a family before that age, and most of them will live with there parents for the first at least 5 years.

The Gaddafi government will not release a Penney even if you deserve it, till you fill hundreds of files and wait years and years.

I'm proud to be LIBYAN. But Libya wasn't the right place to live in during the era of Gaddafi,

Please stop the hate for Libyans and wish us all good, if not GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS PAGE.

    Default Turkey-Syrian Crisis

Turkish prime minister tells Syria's president to step down or risk tragic end

    By the CNN Wire Staff
updated 8:38 PM EST, Tue November 22, 2011

Istanbul (CNN) -- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a stern warning to Syria's president Tuesday, saying that he risks facing the same fate as Libya's slain Moammar Gadhafi if he does not step down.
Erdogan condemned President Bashar al-Assad for remarks he reportedly made over the weekend that he would fight to the death to resist foreign forces, saying al-Assad is battling his own people.
"For God's sake, who are you fighting against?" Erdogan said in remarks to party members in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
"To fight against your own people till you die is not heroism; it is cowardice. If you want to see someone who has fought until death against his own people, just look at Nazi Germany, just look at Hitler, at Mussolini, at Nicolae Ceausescu in Romania.
Unrest continues in Syria Unrest continues in Syria Politics and violence in Syria Rice: Syria the handmaiden of Iranians
"If you cannot draw any lessons from these, then look at the Libyan leader who pointed weapons against his own people, used the same terms you use and who was killed just 32 days ago in a way that none of us wished.
"Without shedding more blood, just leave that seat."
Al-Assad has resisted mounting calls for his resignation in recent weeks as international outcry over his government's crackdown on pro-democracy protests has intensified.
Turkey, which shares a long border with Syria, has toughened its stance against its former ally and trading partner, as have Syria's Arab neighbors.
The Arab League last week suspended Syria from membership and demanded that the violence stop.
The humanitarian committee of the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday voted 122-13 to condemn the violence in Syria and express its support for the Arab League initiative. There were 41 abstentions.
It is the first resolution on Syria's crackdown to be approved at the United Nations. In October, Russia and China teamed up to veto a U.N. Security Council resolution that would have condemned the Syrian response to the demonstrators and called for an immediate end to the government clampdown on the opposition.
The resolution passed Tuesday calls for an end to all violence and "strongly condemns the continued grave and systematic human rights violations by the Syrian authorities, such as arbitrary executions, excessive use of force and the persecution and killing of protesters and human rights defenders, arbitrary detention, enforced disappearances, torture and ill treatment of detainees, including children."
The violence continued Tuesday with 33 people killed across the country, according to the Local Coordination Committees, an activist group.
British Foreign Secretary William Hague welcomed the passage of the U.N. resolution, which was drafted by the United Kingdom, saying it sends "a signal of united condemnation of the Syrian regime's systematic human rights abuses."
He pointed to the support it received from regional players, including Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Turkey, and urged Syria to halt the violence.
Hague met with Syrian opposition figures in Britain on Monday, when he said London was "seeking to step up the international pressure on the Assad regime, a regime that has long since lost its legitimacy in the eyes of the wider world."
In an interview with Britain's The Sunday Times, al-Assad warned that any potential military intervention against his country would lead to "very dire" repercussions and that Syria "will not bow down" despite international threats of economic sanctions.
Al-Assad vowed he would personally fight and die to resist foreign forces, according to The Sunday Times.
Protesters in Syria are demanding al-Assad's ouster and democratic elections. He has been in power since 2000, following his father, Hafez, who ruled Syria for three decades.
Syria's government has said it is fighting armed terrorists, and maintains that the death toll is much lower than international observers and opposition groups say.
--CNN's Yesim Comert and Mick Krever contributed to this report.

Additional article: U.S. urges Americans to leave Syria "immediately" - CBS News

U.S. urges Americans to leave Syria "immediately"

(CBS/AP) BEIRUT - The U.S. Embassy in Damascus urged its citizens in Syria to depart "immediately," and Turkey's foreign ministry urged Turkish pilgrims to opt for flights to return home from Saudi Arabia to avoid traveling through Syria.
"The U.S. Embassy continues to urge U.S. citizens in Syria to depart immediately while commercial transportation is available," said a statement issued to the American community in Syria Wednesday and posted on the Embassy's website. "The number of airlines serving Syria has decreased significantly since the summer, while many of those airlines remaining have reduced their number of flights."

The warning followed an announcement in Washington this week that Ambassador Robert Ford would not return to Syria this month as planned, indicating concerns over his safety.

The Obama administration quietly pulled Ford out of Syria last month, citing credible personal threats against him.

The Turkish foreign ministry on Wednesday urged Turkish pilgrims to opt for flights to return home from Saudi Arabia and avoid traveling through Syria for security reasons.

The warning came two days after Syrian soldiers opened fire on at least two buses carrying Turkish citizens, witnesses and officials said, apparent retaliation for Turkey's criticism of Assad. The Turks were returning from Saudi Arabia after performing the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Syrian security carried out raids in rebellious areas in the center and the south of the country Wednesday, and at least six people died, raising the death toll in the past two days to 34, activists said, as the U.S. and Turkey took unusual steps to protect their citizens.

Syrian President Bashar Assad was under increasing international pressure to stop the brutal crackdown, but no effects were apparent on the ground.

Activists and human rights groups said at least six people died in central and southern Syria on Wednesday, some during raids by Syrian security forces, and others who died of injuries sustained earlier.

Wednesday's casualties raised to 34 the number of Syrians killed in the past 24 hours.

Two main activist groups, the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and the Local Coordinating Committees, documented the deaths, which were reported Tuesday in the central cities of Hama and Homs, the eastern city of Deir el-Zour and elsewhere.

The violence came a day ahead of Arab League talks in Cairo to assess the Syria crisis after the 22-member organization rejected proposed Syrian amendments to its plan to send Arab observers to Syria to protect civilians.

The Arab League suspended Syria's membership over the bloodshed and Syria's failure to abide by an Arab peace plan it signed.

A key U.N. committee voted Tuesday to condemn human rights violations by Assad's government and called for an immediate end to all violence. Nearly 4,000 people have been reported killed in the military crackdown on the popular uprising since March.

The nonbinding resolution adopted by the General Assembly's human rights committee calls on Syrian authorities to implement the Arab League peace plan, agreed to earlier this month, "without further delay."

The resolution, sponsored by Britain, France and Germany, was passed by a vote of 122-13 with 41 abstentions. It must now be approved at a plenary session of the 193-member world body, where its adoption is virtually certain.

U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice said in a statement that the committee's first-ever resolution on Syria's human rights violations "has sent a clear message that it does not accept abuse and death as a legitimate path to retaining power."

Syria's U.N. Ambassador Bashar Jaafari again accused Britain, France and Germany of "waging a media, political and diplomatic war against Syria" and encouraging armed groups to engage in violence rather than national dialogue with the government.

here's a scenario that could unfold.

    >Turkey attacks Syria
    >Russia defends Syria by killing turkish forces
    >US/NATO defends Turkish forces against Russians and Syrians
    >Iranians join in, as Syria is their #1 ally
    >Israel invades Iran
    >China wins, granted they do not commit anything. Europe seems too busy with their meltdown.

It's pretty remote but, it is a possibility.
