MAO BAH!, ...if u format a drive in normal way (quickformat) is not quite hard to recover bcoz there's a lot openscource software utilities that we can download all over . How about formatting then installing windows OS using Windows Bootable disk?,.can i retrieve the previous data from the disk b4 it was formatted?

Unzip the downloaded file to your C: drive.
Open C:\testdisk-6.10\win > double click the "testdisk_win" icon.

The program runs in a command window and doesn't have to be installed.

A. At the first window, select “No Log” and press the <Enter> key.

B. Select which drive to analyse, choose “Proceed” and <Enter>.

C. Select partition type – Intel if it’s a PC then <Enter>.

D. Select “Analyse” then <Enter>. The drive will be analysed.

E. Select “Quick Search” at the next screen, then <Enter>.

F. Press “Y” if the partitions were created under Vista – “N” if not.

G. TestDisk should say “Structure OK”. If so, press <Enter>.

H. Select “Write” and press <Enter>.

I. Press “Y” to confirm.

J. Press <Enter>.

just type in command prompt

chkdsk D: /f /r

kanang D: sample rana nga drive letter; just change it sa driver letter sa problematic partition.
try lang gud,.weeeeeeeee!<.,.heheehe

mao ni and error when i start my windows, when detecting the hard drive "bad status and mo appear then i press F1 to continue.

when am into windows, it takes a long minutes before windows will be showing .

When i open the partition this will be the error " The request could not performed because of an I/0 device errors.
