Hello. I am a newbie here and just got knowledge of this thread when I searched something sa google and a link to this has appeared. I got interested to join the discussion since I am a Mandauehanon myself.

Well, here is what I have to say.

Mayor Jonas has indeed put Mandaue City to greater heights and have built strong ties and confidence with the people especially from the business sector. As of the end of the filing of COCs and learning who the candidates are, I would personally say that Mayor Jonas will WIN. Landslide would be an understatement.

But I see the hotspot in the 6th District Congressional race. Another head to head bout between Incumbent Cong. Luigi Quisumbing and Former Cong. Inday Nerry Soon Ruiz. In my personal view, Nerissa has the upperhand. Why, you may ask? Inday Nerry has been in this position for 5 terms (15 years) and I have seen quite a lot of projects and programs that she has initiated. Luigi Quisumbing though is still in his first term but I have heard quite a lot of negative things about him.
