ok.. you are right sa ana nga aspeto, simple rules is hard for majority of filipinos to obey..
ani man sad gud ang mentality sa kadaghanan sa mga pinoy bay.. "mutoo lang ta ug balaod kung masulayan na ta sa balaod"..
this does not apply only to ignorant pinoys but also for educated pinoys as well.

despite criticism sa iyang methods, I think we need a person who can instill strict discipline in the national level. So far all we've had are relatively lenient hacks.

The problems this country have astounds anyone and resort in seeking to those who can give certain order in chaos... As effective as VM Duterte is, it cannot be duplicated and even more so encouraged for such qualities to be followed by just anyone. He is the government in his own place. With this kind of leadership, the power has shifted from the people and towards himself. He is walking on a thin line between a just dictator and self-serving tyrant. Bottom line is, if our mentality is only limited for a leader to save our troubles, nothing will ever change in the long run...

your right but that is the reality that majority of pinoy's would really want to make this country run..
there are a lot of us are who are inspired and hoped that someone like him, with what u called a tyrant leader would like how this country would be run.. majority of us are scared, ignorant and sometimes lenient in implementing laws unless if someone who is extremely strong person that would face even the harshest of the criticisms of others would run this country..

tan-awa run ang davao o... although davao isn't really that perfect enough like makati but is known for a leader that is effectively runned by a former mayor and now vice mayor of davao city who is being followed by majority of the citizens in his city.. although there are a lot who hates his methods of management but there are also majority of the citizens that justifies his acts as brave and wise thing to do for this generation.. as what i said... "ang mga pinoy mutoo lang ug balaod kung masulayan sila sa balaod"..

i would not be surprised with that kind of view for i have shared with it long before... but remember, Hitler rose through this kinds of methods... Hitler created a sense of order for his people, and many applauded his method of discipline. I'm just saying, what seems to be working under the dictates of one person may eventually result into something unseen unanticipated eventualities.

The problem with this kind of surrender of authority towards a dictator is at what point do you allow this dictator to use force? Is it according to his own version? Yours? Mine? His? Hers? or should it be variable? you see, it is lost in vagueness... What if you don't share some of his regulations? Can your voice be heard? Nope, because you have surrendered authority of your existence under the brilliance of a great leader.

The example of Davao's Duterte is still yet to be seen.. once the place will be heavily populated, that will be the true test of their leadership... As people have different views, i just hope Duterte will not resort to absolute tyranny under the cloak of justice.
