Job Description Responsibilities:
 Develop and document design basis
 Prepare Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), and Process Descriptions.
 Perform process simulations and develop Heat and Material Balances
 Develop sizing information for Process Equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, reactors, etc.) and provide information in the form of equipment data sheets
 Ensure that Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance Procedures are followed during execution of all contracts and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all Project Engineering work.
 Prepare material selection diagram/table
 Evaluate and optimize process schemes
 Perform hydraulic calculations to check the critical line routing; necessary calculations for thermosiphon reboilers; and necessary calculations for pump NPSH requirements.
 Battery Limit Lists including the line lists, equipment list, and initial instrument list.
 Input to Cause and Effect Diagram
 Design and sizing of safety relief valves.
 Flare system analysis and final reporting including the sizing of the relief valve inlet and outlet line sizing.
 Definition of mechanical design conditions for equipment and piping components.
 Participate in SIL review, HAZOP and HAZID studies
 Attend flowsheet and 3D model reviews.
 Bid clarifications and technical evaluation of Vendor’s proposal
 Vendor technical evaluation and vendor document review for Proposal, Front End Engineering design, detailed Engineering design and EPC projects.
 Evaluate alternative control strategies
 Coordination/clarification works with related disciplines and client
 Prepare operating manual
 Knowledge of Hysys, ProII, Aspen plus or any simulation programs would be an advantage
Basic Job Requirements  3-6 years experience in the Engineering and Construction, Petroleum or Chemical/Petrochemical industries, overseas experience preferred
 Has experience as Project Lead
Degree Required: Yes
