So with your statement you believe......... as long as one is talented and you show it that gives you a license to be an ingrate or at least not to make pananghid before you go AWOL to your handlers or people who spent for your US training, gave you items, etc?

I sincerely hope your brother does not have any handlers that will leave him in the dust without at least talking to him.
Sir, with all due respect, I didn't say anything about being talented can serve as an excuse for being an ingrate. That is exactly a different story. I for one, believe that we should not burn bridges and to always remember those who have helped you along the way. We in our family happen to value loyalty and good relations with people. If my words were misunderstood, then I apologize. What I meant by my post is that people will eventually stop all the speculations with regard to him (Tallo) making it in the UAAP.

    Okay.

Personally I don't know what speculation you are discussing. If the speculation is about him being successful, that will never be proven until he does play next year.

I for one think even if Macmac plays well people shouldn't "shut up". He did something we both think are wrong. Unless the person clears it up or even asks to talk to the people he has wronged the act still remains. Even if he becomes a rookie-MVP the fact will remain...... Macmac went AWOL from Ateneo without talking to his handlers about it.

Playing spectacular does nothing to rectify that. If anything it may well fuel the fire on both sides. Pro Ateneo will say it was the training that he took advantage of, Pro Macmac will say....see, he deserves the PT. Conversely if he does not do well Pro Ateneo will say...see, he should have been patient. Pro Macmac will say whatever they want to say in response.

Like I keep saying, as a Cebuano I hope Macmac does well, but his future success will not excuse his past behavior. There is only one way for closure on that issue. It is not by going 14pts, 8rebs, 7assts. It is by going to the people who helped him and talking to them like a man.

This thread was about the leaving, not about his future success.

Well, this thread may be about him leaving but I was just answering some of the opinions regarding his future success in the UAAP which can be found in the thread. The speculations I am referring to is Tallo making it in the rotation of his team and yes, him being successful. Again, the previous post that I made had nothing to do with his going AWOL. I was not talking about the leaving. I guess I have gone OT when I made my previous post.

DLSU will make sure Tallo stays with them if not only for the fact they can rub it in the face of their bitter rivals that they did another "BJ Manalo".

It has been continously mentioned in this thread that Macmac (barring AWOL) will play in the UAAP next year. In fact it has been repeatedly stated that he was already on a Team A and was going to get UAAP exposure if he didn't leave. The question was how much and that is what Mr. Tallo did not agree with.

I did a little back reading and I don't think anyone has mentioned or speculated otherwise?

Junior phenom Jeron Teng plays for Archers
    source: Olmin Leyba | philstar.com

Jeron Teng, the scoring machine from Xavier who’s on top of the wish list of a number of college teams, will be donning the green jersey for the De La Salle University next season.

“Jeron Teng will play for DLSU,” his elder brother Jeric announced on his Twitter account yesterday.

DLSU’s director for sports development and UAAP Board representative Edwin Reyes confirmed to The STAR the recruitment of the 6-foot-1 Teng, who made a record by exploding for 104 points in a game against Grace Christian HS in the Tiong Lian League last year.

“It’s true,” Reyes said of Teng’s entry to DLSU, a big boost for their campaign for redemption after missing the UAAP Final Four twice in the last three seasons.

“Well, we still need to work on building a team. It’s a good start but we still have a long way to go before we can safely be in the championships,” said Reyes.

The Archers, under a new coach in Gee Abanilla, beat some other schools in tapping Teng. Also reportedly wooing the son of former PBA player Alvin are Ateneo, National U and even Jeric’s alma mater, University of Santo Tomas.

Jeric said he looks forward to meeting his kid brother on the opposing end.

“It would be weird but a challenge playing against @jeronteng next season of UAAP. have to work hard this offseason!” he twitted.

Before going to the Taft campus, Jeron will spearhead the Xavier Stallions’ drive for five in the Metro Manila Tiong Lian basketball tournament this month. He recently powered the Stallions to the junior title of the Fr. Martin Division II Cup, firing 43 markers in their 68-67 overtime win over Arellano.

I agree, malubong siya if daghan ra kaayo ang superstar. He needs to go to a team na magamit siya ug maayo, not a team that collects superstars, and they don't even know na their players and also fighting internally.
