comment further lang ko gamay bro ha... literally buhi and ang sperm cells pero ma-subject naba diay na sa abortion? nagkinahanglan man tingale na maparesan og egg cell para naa life (bata) ma-porma and that is where the possibility of abortion may come in. sa masturbation wala man siguro lugar pa ana nga act ang abortion? 2nd, dili man siguro mahimo nga common denominator ang CONTRACEPTIVES sa MASTURBATION og sa ABORTION para pwede sila ma-relate?
dili nalang ko mobasa from the start bro kay taas na kaayo.. but libog jud ko ngano imu i-relate and abortion sa masturbationpwede ex-found further nalang nimu ang point you want to surface bro?
I find the poll question ridiculous! "Should abortion and abortifacients be legalized through the RH bill?" As if to say RH Bill is tantamount to promoting abortion.
To legislate a law that goes against the constitutional provision (against abortion) is not only a waste of time but plain stupid.
to make the long story short. having s3x(using a condom) is still the same as masturbation(without the girl). just like using contraceptives, contraceptives prohibits the sperm cells to reach the egg cells and doesn't create life. in our discussions pro-life people and church extremists doesn't support contraceptives, pills and condoms. and projects this products as an abortion act.
i know you support anti-abortion but do you support *** education and the encouragement of contraceptives?
pls do remember that what we are talking about in this part of the discussion is ur claim that contraceptives leads to sexual promiscuity. ayaw ni lihayi pre.
i even described it this way: "What sexual behavior is considered socially acceptable, and what behavior is "promiscuous", varies much among different cultures, and within a culture different standards are often applied to people of different gender and civil status.
that's why i said "lahi lahi ug sitwasyon kada nasud..."
btw, what is ur definition of promiscuity then? based from religion? toinks!
again, i will cite facts to counter argue ur claims:
Fiction: Contraception Promotes Promiscuity
Fact:
(1) According to the study, the percentage of high school students in 2007 who had ever had sexual intercourse declined by 12% since 1991, while condom use increased by 33%. In addition, the percentage of high school students in 2007 who were currently sexually active declined by 7% in the same time period, and the percentage of those who had had intercourse with four or more partners declined by 20%.

Decrease In Teens Having ***, Increase In Condom Use, CDC Study Finds
(2) “there are no published studies that measure behavioral effects of the `abstinence-only' curricula.” That evaluations of safer-*** sexuality education show inconsistent but promising results.....These trends support the position that programs covering both abstinence and contraception should be broadly implemented."
source: AMA report, Western Journal of medicine 2000
(3) Over the last decade, the percentage of all high school students (9-12th grade) who report ever having had sexual intercourse has declined. At the same time, among teens who are sexually active,
rates of contraceptive use – including condom use – have increased.

---000---
Fiction: Contraceptives lessens unwanted pregnancies.
Fact: No. It is "Good knowledge of effective use of contraceptives" is what lessens unwanted pregnancies.
Poor knowledge of effective use of the pill and of secondary contraception is well documented, particularly in general practice, leading to pill failures and unwanted pregnancy. (source: Oxford Journals, Medicine, Family Practice, Volume 18, Number 4, Pp. 449-453).
to cite another example, 52,000 babies died in our country last year due to lack of sexual and reproductive health knowledge. the low level use of contraceptives among Filipino women had resulted in high levels of unwanted pregnancies in the Philippines. This bill basically wants to promote information on and access to both natural and modern family planning methods that are "medically safe and legally permissible".
Salient points:
(1) Information and access to natural and modern family planning
(2) Maternal, infant and child health and nutrition
(3) Promotion of breast feeding
(4) Prevention of abortion and management of post-abortion complications
(5) Adolescent and youth health
(6) Prevention and management of reproductive tract infections, HIV/AIDS and STDs
(7) Elimination of violence against women
(Counseling on sexuality and sexual and reproductive health
(9) Treatment of breast and reproductive tract cancers
(10) Male involvement and participation in RH;
(11) Prevention and treatment of infertility and
(12) RH education for the youth.
Marked in bold are apparent contradictions to what has been alleged by the church that the bill is anti-life.
