Remember, it was the Catholic Church that gave us the Bible. Jesus wrote nothing (except perhaps on sand) and He never commandd that a Bible be created. It was the Church that decided which books were to be in the Bible. And one of the most important criteria for deciding which books were to be in the Bible was that the books must agree with Catholic Doctrine.
"Look into the book of the Lord, for nothing is lacking. Not one of these will lack her mate.
For the Spirit of the Lord will gather them in one place" - Isaiah 34: 16

It was God who decided the canon.... it was also his decision to send famine into the land by allowing the muderous clergymen of the Roman church to keep the the Bible - The Word of Truth (Jn 17: 17 ) from the people. (Amos 8: 11)

Christ DID write the Bible through the Holy Spirit (Jn 16: 14 ) the Holy Triune God is one and I thought Catholics love to say "In the Name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit" all the time? Turns out they don't understand trinity.

it's a pity that Islam is being misinterpreted by a lot of people because of these extremists. Islam calls humanity to the service of Allah. It also instructs people on how they may live in peace and harmony regardless of race, class or beliefs. The unity of purpose brought by all previous religious guides is highlighted as well as traditional morality, the equality of the sexes before God and the virtues of patience and humbleness.

...i am no expert of Islam. just someone who once tried to walk along its path.

Ezekiel 23 alludes to the RCC and to so-called Christians, evangelists who use God's Word for money and love of self... while the RCC worships stones, some so-called Christians have forfeited their soul for the gaining of this world "The two adulterous sisters of the same mother"...

Just like non-sectorial Christianity, Islam is quite underrated religion. mas overrated ang RCC nga religion.....

but before one can marry more than one wife, the previous wife must first concur and you must prove that you are capable of supporting more than one wife. if i'm not mistaken, the wife and the imam have to concur.

as for eating meat, Islamic law prohibits drinking or eating the blood and it's by-products, eating the meat of animals that are carnivorous or omnivours and for a meat to be halal (lawful) it must be properly slaughtered by a Muslim.

    ....i maybe mistaken though.

Bitaw, practically I guess if a guy gusto daghan chicks dapat naay kwarta para ma suporta-an iyang chicks. murag similar ni anang requirements sa group dating kanang dili commited nga romantic relationship. only in Islam, it is a commitment. ahehehehe.

akong mga chicks? naa na'y mga uyab. but we love one another ;-b ahahahahaha!

Anyway, I was wondering how many other "candid catholics" are there in here? Personally I believe in the all sufficiency of Scripture. Feel free to drop me a line. We'll chat but bring your cameras for I am a photogenic (sp?) Catholic.

Sola Fide and Sola Scriptora aren't necessarily invisible

For Sola Fide, depending on how one understands that we are saved apart from good works (Eph. 2: 8 - 9 ) and santified by faith (Acts 26: 18 ) in the context of how genuine fidelity is defined

James debunks the falsehood of "once saved always saved" when he wrote "Show me your faith without deeds, and I'll show you my faith by what I do

Bro, it seems your replies become too personal already. If im not mistaken, I’m the one who posted “candid catholic” in this thread. Perhaps I used this as my personal description for:

I guess, correct me if I’m wrong, you just misleading yourself by your own understanding of the word “candid”. But it seems you used it by way of personal attack and precisely for me alone. You know bro, I admire you the way you post your opinion, posting some informative ideas and posting some words from the bible. I know you have wisdom to defend yourself, your beliefs and your religious affiliation. I know you are intelligent enough to understand how to respect one’s opinion regarding our personal beliefs and religious affiliation. You know, if you have God-given wisdom you are required to share it with pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. But it so happens, you are using your wisdom to dismay people. Are these behaviors are being inculcated in your religion? Honestly speaking, the wisdom of the world does not make us intelligent before God.
