@carlo: tried the tamron 28-75 before pero wala kaau ko naka observe sa iyang sharpness at every focal length. pero ang mga tamron jud nuon are sharp lenses jud even at wide open. with regards to tele, i've experienced using the sigma 70-200 HSM II sauna, at wide open from 70mm to something like 135mm madala ra ang IQ, pero at 200mm wide open, soft au. para na nako ha. but then again, "sharpness is in the eyes of the beholder". hehe.

I noticed the same when I still had the 100-300mm. Very sharp at 100-200 (5.6 hinuon) but at +200, dapat i-F8 na pero even then mas noticeably sharper gihapon 100-200 at 5.6.

I'm getting re-acquainted using a zoom because I have been a prime user for some time. I have no 70-200 though as this is not my range (actually the 70-135 is, he he) but I have to wait another year before I get one kay patyon ko ako kumander sige gasto ani hobby na dili mubalik kwarta. Hulat pa ko abli Nikon service center pud kay I really don't like Canon's white L lenses. Too indiscreet. O di ba, Canon and Nikon user para walay lalis. Ako na lang kontra Pentax, Sony, Olympus.
