one reason for me why AMD has made it on top is because of massive hardware support. what intel should do is stop producing there own chipsets, they shouild leave this stuff to the experts like VIA and nVidia, or ATI.

dude dugay naman nai mga lain intel support nga chipset liek via, sis pero sa mga top of the desktop na chipset kay ang nividia nforcce4 for intel and ATi crossfire chipset (not sure the model) and intel even co-partner w/ ATi crosssfire w/ thier latest 975chiset, nya if u want to explain something ayaw og kapoy kapoy cuz this istorya forum is a healthy and resonable community forum, u must defend by explaining what side are standing, ( my own thoughts: sometimes like ksagaran nga mga AMD fans nako na ilhan,sa kagrabe na nila stick to a certain processor company di na sila usahay mu research sa lain nga processor company, mao na ako intel gyud ko pero mugamit sad ko og Athlon64 3000 soket754 lang hinoon hehee)

ohh yeah intel got more hardware and software support than AMD (use google to look for this articles or u can test it ur self) bisag sa games mas daghan sa intel, pero if imo na i butang sa mga high profile na games like FEAR, CS:Source mas wide ang AMD support sa mga highend gaming

m not a noob when it comes to system building, when i said that intel should leave the chipset arena to the experts like nVidia and SIS, or ATI, i didnt mean that these companies dont produced intel-based chipsets, what m simply trying to say is that intel should stop producing their own chipset... period.

and besides, the ultrium series offered by TTI really sucks, for P35000. NO WAY!!!

Remember their Chipset 440BX AGPSet, early stages of AGPs? That was the only AGP chipset that made no compatability issure or problems. VIA is trying to compete with that until the launch of their VIA Apollo Pro 133A...

Now, where's NVIDIA, ATI, or AMDs at that time?

we are living in a world where SLI and dual core rule the desktop, where 1000mhz bus is no longer enough, and you still wanna go back to 100mhz?

There's is nothing wrong about their chipset but expensive I think...not to mention their CPU's. I've been using Intel since P3. My AXP 2800+ runs like my old P4 2Ghz in multitasking but made a big diffence in 3d benchmarks.

There will always be incompatibility issues among hardwares, either AMD or Intel based, its just a matter of researching and planning the proper setup.

VIA, nVIDIA, ALi, SIS, ATI, to name the few are different companies producing chipsets for these CPU giants, and when this guys missed out on something, there will be incompatibility, but that could be corrected with patches and bios upgrade.

so, we cant always conclude who wins in the compatibility arena...

there is really nothing wrong with Intel, sa CPU nila, but sa chipsets, medyo di ok. its better to buy other brand of chipsets like VIA or nVidia.

well, on my part, disagree man gud ko sa inganang comparison sa Intel at AMD. pag research lang at palit ug unsya ganahan at atong i-baby tong pc na napalit na.

diha lang ta sa cost-effective nga set-up, either way, tanan man nga setup mahimong cost-effective ug ipa-agi sa research at purpose ng setup.
