"I feel like such a hypocrite because I'm always telling people to dress up and I always dress down myself," my stylish Fashion Week (and at the time, well-dressed) friend said. If dressing down is your thing (and judging by the amount of knit dresses, flip flops, jeans and T-shirts seen on real people everywhere comfort is still a priority), you may feel short-changed by the direction that designers are going.

Designers are showing dresses, pencil skirts (like, the one above, at Rebecca Taylor) and suits. Higher waists, looser-legged pants, longer (but skinny) knee-length skirts are a few of the silhouettes that are dominating the New York runways. Color blocking, brights and hothouse florals are also strong.

^ur right on the money khymm. every closet should have a dvf item. you can never go wrong with a furstenberg design. like what u said, its classic.
