Don't look into one plan nga motrabaho ka sa atoa, kay wala ta kahibaw sa ugma...mas maau jud ng hitting two or three birds with a single stone.
imo pasabot nga mag design sa barko or planning kay Naval Architecture ang tawag ana nga course, not marine engineering, planning and designing sa oil rigs kay murag 2 ka courses na xa, naval architecture + something, naa sa SG ang school nga ga offer, and about sa offshore sa palawan, i think they dont need that much chemical engineers, what they really needed are petroleum engineers... i know this kay im a seafarer and im working offshore...

nautical man ang marine transportation, i think dili jud appropriate para sa girl ang mag seafarer these days, labi na nga daghan na bag.o qualifications ang stcw, then ang ang cadets log, for me, as an officer, dili nindot tan.awn nga naay special attention ang makuha ang girl sa barko kung cadet pa, pa birahon tika ug pisi nga 8'', pa til tilon tika ug taya for 4 hours straight, then navigational watch paka, remember, ang girl nga mag mens, kay mag mood swings, unlike sa lalaki...

daghan ang female sa maritime now, true, but reality wise, where are they now? ang uban cadet pa lang mabdos na, or gikabit man sa kapitan, wala na kasakay ug balik kay gipang pasakaan ug kaso, i know that these days, a woman can do a man's job, pero kayahon ba nila ang heavy loads of work? sa cadetship pa lang sango na cla, and dili pa xur nga ma officers or captains or chief engineers cla,

    marEngg- course difficulty: easy
    job median income 120k pesos
disadvantage: far from family 6-1yr isolation

    chemEngg- course difficulty: very hard
    job median income: 60k pesos
    disadvantage: routine job

    Accountancy- course difficulty: intermediate
    job median income: 55k pesos
disadvantage: nothing; you are always surrounded with money money on my mind pour it up
I beg to differ with ChE being a routine job. It really depends on what you do for a living. If you are a process engineer, then most likely your tasks would be routine as is required with maintaining a plant. But if you are in Research and development, you will see through a lot of new and exciting ideas to fruition almost everyday. I am currently employed as a university researcher and all I can say is that I look forward to work each day, knowing that I am continually learning and generating new knowledge and solving real-life problems that have impact to society.

unsay jud diay mga buhatonon ani nila in school and in workplace najud?
asa may mas dako ug sweldo ani nila?

    nya additional info diay :
    • female ko
    • walay planu mugawas sa Pilipinas (if ever mag chem.E. or accountancy)
    • dili kaau bansay ug math pero willing kaau mu sacrifice ug time to learn

    Thank you kaau . . .
depende miss. but in my opinion.. I would not suggest you na mo take up og any Marine Courses kay dili lalim especially for you na girl. If you ask my opinion, try accountancy then magpa-CPA ka... I've worked as a marine engineer onboard Specialized vessels, tempting ang sweldo yes,, but dili basta basta ang trabaho...

Para nako I highly discourage girls from taking marine course.

Ngano man diay mag business / commerce course lang ning mga bayhana unya mag take up ug masters degree. Mahimo man gehapon mo ug Crewing Manager if inyo jud nang kapalaran.

Naa mi cadete dire from uc-lm (EC) and she's earning around 550 usd a month for her cadetship. I'm not against women to get into the man's world of seafaring but trying to, sort of discourage her not to pursue ky lisud jud bitaw trabaho sa barko ug na experience jud na niya dire pero grabe belib ko's determination aning bataa gusto jud niya not just to explore but insist her drive to become a c/e someday no matter what it takes. Pero mao lage na inig ting balod na, sige lang sampit ''Diyos ko Lord'', yet it's not a hindrance after all as she's damn serious with her goal.
