Absolutely. If they were going to launch tomahawks at Assad's palace they should have done it already, thousands of lives could have been saved and a civil war averted. The situation now is extremely messy with Russia buying the regime enough time to conclude their extermination.

Murag naa na law ang U.S. banning the assassination of the head of state or political figures of any other nation. So there is no way that is going to happen. Mao siguro to pag WW2 wala gyud gi-bombahan sa US ang palace ni Hirohito.

What will happen if Assad is eliminated and no single strong man could manage,
not to mention the presence of the Kurds,the different rebel factions,the chechens, and the al-qaedas,
I could see they will torn Syria into pieces, much more chaotic than Iraq.
