Hi Lodyl, thank you for dropping by.

I am not sure about that or know about that bank you mentioned. If it has investors, it is not my kind of vision. My conception of OFW-bank is not like any other bank because we have no investors to whom we will serve and give profit to. We have no Boss only one Big-Boss, God the almighty. Our sole employer is God and profits are shared or infused or reinvested to the greater Glory of God. The profits will be shared by the "Children of God", not by the capitalist or investors. Profits reinvested for the benefit and growth-development of the members. If a member steals our money, he steals the money of God. God have mercy on his soul. Don't worry, we will still have so much coming...

    a. You're welcome.
We welcome, Samaritans and Sinners, Budhist, Moslems, etc., they are our neighbors.

The danger zone in any organization is that have to protect ourselves from the De-mon, De-vil, that is out to Di-vide and De-stroy, create Dis-sent, Dis-couragement and Dis-ease (mental, spiritual and physical) Spreading our "poisonous words"(Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy Neighbor)

    b. That is where creativity comes in. Engineered Designs. That is where the thinking process comes in. I am sure if you spend time thinking you will find the answer. Invest in the thinking process. How could other countries make it very cost effective is because they spend time-invest on innovation? We have to think out of the box.

If we do what we always did we will always get what we always got. The solution is right in front of you, it is a matter of "mix-match, plug-play".

Default Giving and Receiving - NOT GIVE AND TAKE

    Hi Pyuds,
My apologies if you are confused. But please work back the threads and read-review them carefully. Indeed, this is one of a kind BANK of the OFW's. That is why we do not need investors. The traditional banking is get people to invest. This is not so and the overall mechanics or Business Plan is what is missing for you to get the picture.

My analogy to this is the traditional farming vis-a-vis the kind of "farming" I am introducing. It is a different way of doing things and for many can be mind boggling.

This is the same with the OFW-Bank I am formulating. It is a bank but works differently from the way people normally think of BANKING. Investors are people who want to GIVE because they want to TAKE something in return. Our investors are people who want to GIVE but do not expect to RECEIVE. Please take note of the words.

Does that confuse you further ?? It would be if you are used to thinking the conventional banking and the way we observe things around us. Hence, this concept is something I conceptualized after working in Singapore and really observing people in Singapore as they think out of the BOX. They are a small country, but very efficient and productive. They can afford Fighter Jets and Apache Helicopters and Perhaps a Sophisticated Navy.

But before anything else, as it is written somewhere - It is better to give than to receive. We apply the bible principles in the way we run our business. Or we can use the taoist principles or whatever because the principles can be found in different books. This bank is one of a kind. Many will be surprised it is that simple.

Once again, why do we have to do away with conventional way? It is simply because if we do things the way we always did we will get what we always got. In the conventional way, the rich get richer and the poor gets pooooooooorer Keep in tuned.

Default OFW Bank - The Parable of the Talents

The Big-Boss is a shrewd and demanding businessman. He has already outlines His expectations in one of the Parables.

Recall the parable of the Talents, wherein the story goes this way or somewhat this way - ((for the benefit of the "Good Samaritans" reading this)).

A rich man, called his servants( A, B & C) and gave them some "funds", for A- he gave 10, for B-he gave 20, for C he gave 40. He told them to use them wisely and when he comes back he will ask for the returns on his investments (ROI).

Upon his return, he called his servants and asked for his ROI ( Really Traditional Business Thinking). C - game him say 400. Wow impressive and the richman was very pleased - wow factor. Well done. B - came and presented with say 100. Good, I am pleased. Then servant A - and gave back his 10 original coming up with excuses so and so, this is not possible (BOXED thinking) because so and so, blaming the government, blaming poverty, blaming all the people around him that cannot be trusted.

Upset the Rich man, said, that it would have been better if the Rich man put his money in the bank to earn interest instead of giving to Servant A. The story ends with Servant A - being "dismissed". (You can see how the Rich Man-Big Boss really thinks like a traditional businessman) Anything that is useless to him he destroys!! Tough luck.

This is something to think about and which servant do we chose to emulate (characterize), because we have the FREEDOM and FREE will to select. Staying in our comfort zone - like Servant A seems to lead to nowhere in the world of the Big-Boss. Indeed this is a tough world.

So nisalig jud mi kay amigo man nato. Since elementary years pa gud mi nga amigo, "suud jud kaayo na amigo nga mura na og igsoon".
