watched the movie. as an average movie goer, it was good for me.. can't wait for the sequel...
ngita na gani sa novel. i find the story interesting...
i read more about the story today and found out dugay na jud diay ni..
now i know y kabaw ako papa about the story ^_^... hihihi...
papa: nan-aw mo cine?
ako: uu, John Carter.
papa: ah kadtong naadto siya sa mars? (naamaze ko kabaw ako papa, hahaha..) old skul na diay nga story.. hihihi...
Ngano very common? Because virtually ALL SCIENCE FICTION plots nga pare-parehas sa John Carter, diri nga story GIKAN! Sabot? 1912 pa gud ni...sa ato pa, nauna pa ni sa Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Flash Gordon, ug ANYTHING ELSE
So imong logic kay BALI--kani man ang NAUNA--so it follows that everyone else na inspire or nag-copy sa iyaha.
George Lucas even admits parts of Star Wars was inspired by John Carter, like desert Moon Tatooine, swordfights, Princess Leia in a bikini, and many more. Only goes to show you know nothing about the story and know nothing about the science fiction genre. Pag basa-basa pod gamay ba, para dili ka malibog or ma-misinform, or be plain ignorant about things, yet talk as if sakto na imong ginapanulti.
