Kani taken 9am. At that time and sa diha nga place at least respetoay ang mga photogs, katong girl sa front nako nga nagluhod gikuhit jud ko samtang nagshoot kay motindog na daw siya. Pero naa gihapoy nakasulod nga unregistered and digicams ang dala, paet.

Next year P5,000.00 na registration para mogamay nalang moapil sa photocontest

Ang mangapil kung ing ani na ang registration kay ang mga rich kids nga ang gamiton pag shoot iphone ug ipad kay ang purpose nila pag register kay para makasolod sa parade route.

When I was in college, I joined the Sinulog as one of the banner holders in front of the USJ-R contingent and the parade flowed smoothly because there weren't a lot of photographers blocking us then.

Digital cameras made photography readily accessible to people and that's why there are now so many. However, I believe that for every problem there is a solution.

I suggest that IPC's leadership talk with other photography club officers, get agreement that something must be done to improve the Sinulog photocontest rules and implementation, and list the issues here and make a proposal to address each one. You have another year to make changes with the Sinulog Foundation. If you can show the photos that support our concerns, then I hope that would increase the chances they'd listen.

I didn't join the Sinulog shoot after 2009 because I felt a little guilty (just a little, he he) after reading the post-Sinulog comments because I also went inside the dancer's area and I almost bumped into a little girl carrying a Sto. Nino. Good thing I heard her say, "Excuse me, excuse me." I was only using a 28mm on a crop so this was really close.



I mean look what I did o. I was inside the dancer's area (sa Bisaya pa, nagpatunga, ha ha).



So after this, stop na lang ko kay I don't want to be part of the fiasco anymore. I did some research and 31 years old naman di-ay Sinulog. It has become an institution in itself but I'm hoping that despite its age, it'd be open to improvements.

Bro you have a point pero if we are paying 1k then wa mi badlonga sa crowd control, meaning wa ray blema. Aw kahibaw q nga respetoay nalang pero in tne first place OBLIGATION sa Sinulog Foundation nga masatisfy ang tanan.. The paying photogs and the watching audience.. If magpacontest sila, dapat concrete ang rules nga giset. Imho

Concrete rules or not, it's the so called Discipline that the "Photographers" should put in mind if they have. Yes it is a contest, but it is also an event for everyone.
