^ That's the flak about the Church. It wanted to affirm its moral ascendancy but it has own problems and issues to deal with. Indeed, it would be best if the call for character change would also be applicable to them.

going too far? when CBCP will issue a pastoral letter supporting GMA and its Con-Ass would it not be going to far? If they go against it's going too far. hahahaha...

i agree that the separation of church and state is an ideal move however it is remotely to almost not possible especially in a Catholic dominant country like the Philippines. WHY? because both involves an individual's personal beliefs and principles. that's the precise reason why defining the line between spiritual and political is very difficult because the loyalty to your god doesn't stop where the loyalty to your country begins. it SHOULD go side-by-side and sometimes SUPERSCEDES the latter.

probably, that's the reason why seemingly highly intelligent people doesn't believe in God or their faith is waning. in short low EQ.
I agree... if politicians will serve according to what they are taught is spiritually correct then we will not be having a crisis...

Mao na every year shortage ta ug classrooms. Then ila dayon i-reason kay corruption dayon sa government. Thats b******t. Maayo unta ang mga pari mo paka-on sa mga over populated na mga tawo.
they are just voicing their opinion... pero sila ba mo himo jud sa balaod? dili... mao na ang separation a state og church.

priests should only do their spiritual works. Not to interfere in politics. Kung naa man gani fellow priests maka-sala, like rape, harrasment, ila man dayun tabunan. priests are not easily be trusted.

It's not because I don't go to church bad nako. I love God, and Jesus Christ. But not the priest hosting the mass.

Kung naa man maihap ra pud.

If they are voicing their opinion, they should talk on their civilian clothes not on their priest clothes (or what it call it). If you the newspaper last year or two years ago, naa usa parish nag-walk ang mga tawo kay nag-sermon man ang pari ug politics.
