    me neither

thats is not the point , the point is NANGUTANG gihapon ka to purchase something and the SURCHARGE was used for something else dili kay ginansya na siya sa retailer .

Its clear , I dont know about yours ... first you are talking about the BANKS FINANCE CHARGES and then MO BAYAD KA UG FULL AMOUNT . Pag clear oi .

Of course , that is FRAUD and OVERCHARGING . Now why would they call it SURCHARGE instead of OVERCHARGE ? Clear na nimo Dagget ??

Its not how much you owe them because thats the BANKS business , we are talking about RETAILERS here so I am clearly speaking of every TRANSACTIONS you made .

Eactly ! Thats why I said on my last reply to add more list of stores , nothing is wrong with that . Ikaw ni react ka because I explained to you ngano na kurat man mo sa SURCHARGES and why there is a SURCHARGE .

    YES .

    YES .

Ngano US stores man gipang nganlan nimo unya anha ko niom PASULAYON ? Well I pay cash everytime I am in Cebu mao wala ko nakasuway ana but its a fact that when using CREDIT CARDS there is a SURCHARGE and it is legal and dili na siya panikas .

Mao bitaw aron di ka makurat sa surcharge , use CASH . If you dont have CASH , you have to understand na gi UTANG na nimo and for them to process the transcation between the RETAILERS and the BANKS , diha na mo apply . Wala man ka pangwartahi , ikaw pa nangutang reklamo pa ka .

Thats good , he can avoid fraud and any means of ilegal activities involving credit purchases .

Who the HECK said that banks PROHIBITS retailers to add surcharges ? Hehehe ...ask ou bank DAGGET and they can explain it better for you kay di man ka mo tuo nako .

The financing and cash basis is totally different figures noh ? Mas cheaper ang CASH .

Its between the BANK and the RETAILER , not the VISA or MASTERCARD .
Again MISINFORMATION....... VISA and MASTERCARD control the credit transactions.....

VISA and MASTERCARD sets the RULES..... if the RETAILER won't follow the RULES.... better remove the sign that they aCCETP VIsa or MASTERCARD

I already gave you the TERMS and CONDITIONS of VISA and MASTERCARD....

    with LEGITIMATE REFERENCE....

The following rules are requirements established and strictly enforced by Visa and MasterCard:

    * You cannot establish minimum or maximum amounts as a condition for accepting a card.
    * You cannot impose a surcharge or fee for accepting a card.
    * You may require the cardmember supply personal information (e.g. home or business phone number, delivery address) for the purposes of delivery only.
    * Any tax or shipping and handling must be included in the total transaction amount.
    * You may not submit any transaction representing refinance or transfer of existing cardholder obligation deemed uncollectable.

Why don't you cite any reference that says...... SURCHARGES are ALLOWED

$100 will be yours if you can come up with that statement from any bank, VISA or Mastercard, or retailers....

    cite a reputable source lang

if NOT you can give me $100

Just go there and do your thing . Thats your bank and they are authorizing retailers to surcharge you , not me DAGGET . I dont need to ask , Ive been with NFCU and Citibank for the last 8 years , they have answered all my queries already that I know of . Ikaw unsay bangko nimo ? Gusto ka ako pa mo hatag ug pamelete nimo ??

The subject is the SURCHARGE of RETAILERS in Cebu and the Philippines in general . If you can pay for my airfare to ask any bank that is CEBU BASED then I will bet on you . Other than that , gahi gyud ka ug ulo , we are not TALKING about VISA and MASTERCARD , they are a totally different organization . They only licenses your bank to use them and the issue we are talking about are between your BANK and the RETAILERS . Kay gi surchargan na man ka , it is confirm na mo surcharge sila , so verify your CREDIT CARD ISSUING BANK if the business you did with the retailers is legit . Keep the $ 100 , you'll need for TRILLIANES .

How are credit cards cards charged?

When you, the credit card merchant, want to accept a credit card for payment, the following process occurs: The following is a brief summary:

    1) You submit an "Authorization Transaction" to your processor using your preferred processing system (POS terminal, PC software, etc.)

    2) The processor accesses the Visa/MasterCard network to communicate the authorization transaction (including the transaction amount) to the issuing bank. This ensures that the card is valid and that the transaction amount does not exceed the cardholder's credit limit.

    3) Besides authorizing the transaction, the authorization puts a "hold" for the transaction amount on the cardholder's credit limit. That way, the funds are available to you when you complete the transaction.

    4) If the authorization succeeds, you will submit the deposit transaction to receive payment. By doing this, you are promising the processor, sponsoring bank, and issuing bank that you are prepared to deliver the goods and services expected by the cardholder.

    5) Your processor requests the issuing bank to deposit the net settlement amount into your bank account at your sponsoring bank.
