You're absolutely right TS...the term virginity is very subjective. I assume that you are referring to FEMALE virginity, right? ? I think so
When we consider this in a
physical (medical) terminology, the moment the hymen breaks completely (voluntarily or accidentally) a female can no longer be called a virgin.
---------------------------------------000000-------------------------------
But when we talk about this in the
psycho-spiritual and moral aspect, it now falls into a different meaning....To explain this in a short but understandable way I'll give you different examples:
1. Sexual intercourse w/o deep penetration of the female's s3x organ using cunnilingus as a SOLE means of achieving climax. (regardless of the gender of the partner).......The hymen is very much intact BUT the female can no longer be considered VIRGIN.
2. As per your example above.....inserting a tampon for physiological purpose can break the hymen. (but was not done for the purpose of satisfying sexual urges)....the female is still considered a VIRGIN.
3. A sexually active and experienced female had recently undergone surgery and had her hymen repaired by the medical doctor.......the hymen is back in it's original state BUTshe is no longer considered a VIRGIN.
4. Full sexual intercourse was done BUT the female was
not conscious of the act nor was she willing had she been given a choice.....then she is still considered a VIRGIN........is this possible?...of course it is, example of this but not limited to:
(a innocent very young girl who does not yet know what s3x is all about was drugged and was forcibly raped)
5. A mature female of sound mind
voluntarily accepts to be a biologic mother through
artificial insemination (the process by which sperm is placed into the reproductive tract of a female for the purpose of impregnating the female by using means other than sexual intercourse or natural insemination) WITHOUT entertaining any sexual thoughts or carnal lust/desire in connection to the actual process of being inseminated..........She is still considered a VIRGIN (virgin mother)
I hope this helps
