And turn the other cheek again? No.

The reason why there are many anti-pinoy threads now is that more and more Filipinos are becoming aware of the problems in our nation and actually want to talk about it. If you'd rather see the better side of the Philippines, no one's stopping you.

By highlighting the defects in the country, we get aware. By getting aware, we know where we are wrong. By knowing where we are wrong, we talk about them and figure out how to address them by ourselves. Don't want to participate? Then don't. Stay blissful.

OK then. Now that I have your attention:

    Angry Birds

In a democracy, the majority gets the say.

    1. The intellectuals, the thinkers and the academic elite are in the minority.
    2. The majority, on the other hand, comprises of individuals who are average in mind and those who are, unfortunately, incompetent.

If this is how the numbers always align themselves, how can one say that democracy is a feasible way of government?

    -ClaudioSanchez
I am no law/polsci stud. I do not have much background on the different forms of government. But just by watching the video, I am now open to the idea of a Parliamentary form of government for the Philippines. If it means that the intellectuals get to lead and everyone else follows, then it sounds pretty good at the moment.

However, I still do not consider this as the best solution to improve the current status of the Philippines. Why? Because even if we change the form of government, it will still be run by the same people. And I don't think that is good. It would be better if we had someone with the knows of Political Science, tho.

So this begs the question: Is a change in the form of government the solution to the problems of the nation or not? If not, is it in the people? If it is in the people, then is it hopeless? If not, how is it not?

    We can start from here.

yes i know but we all know that already stupidity of filipinos is somewhat an inate part of us being pinoy as some would say. no need to slap that on someones face.

now what we need is to EDUCATE our population. and thats one thing that is keeping poverty at a higher level.

we need to control the population thus RH bill needs to be passed or what ever methods to control such. wtih lesser population there is better distribution of resources. most of the populace will get a bigger piece of the pie.

we need to have strict implementation of the rules. punishment shall be imposed properly for the people to be disciplined. if someone caught for a crime an appropriate punishment should be imposed no mercy gyud. if needed ang death penalty then so be it.

these are just general ideas that i know of to alleviate us from poverty.

we can make a better Philippines and a better Filipino out of ourselves.

showing the video doesnt make one a better Filipino.

of course by watching that video won't change our status immediately. however i do believe it's a very good eye opener for us (at least) .. with people being aware of whats happening sa pinas, then they'll be more vigilant on every moves our leaders would make.
