@dammy, didto ko gabii from 8pm - 11:30pm, og sige ko scan through NMAP, 2 hosts ra makita. My IP Address og sa Router. I decided to bring the wifi router sa amoa to set it up, kay gabii, sige ra ko scan. hehehe..

Anyways, my purpose for this thread is to secure my friend's network and not to catch the hacker.

So, as adviced, here's the setup sa Router.

    Spoiler: Disabled SSID Broadcast

Spoiler: Using WPA2 AES with mixed characters as password

Spoiler: Changed the Router's IP Address to some numbers, still CLASS C configuration

    Spoiler: MAC Address Filtering

    Spoiler: DHCP Disabled

Maka-sulod ko sa router using these settings through my laptop. I have to give this to my friend for him to try this out..

Turned on the Firewall as well, og nag download ko'g Avast Internet Security, naa'y firewall ang program, hopefully it can help as well.

if gi attack gyud mo tho.. possible gyud na mo hinay gyud inyo internet or worst mag sige mo og ka disconnect even if wala pa sya naka sulod gyud.. an attack will cause ur router to go busy and crazy bisan turned off pa inyo mga pc.

OT: nagubaan mi'g router diri sa office, sige og blink ang LAN 1 light og di mo-hunong, unya di mi ka-connect through WIFI even if ikapila na i-reset..

Unsaun man pag secure sa wifi, knowing pwede ra d.i ma-hack.

IT Expert pud tong nang hack, silingan ra nila, but wala mi solid proof nga siya. Only proof is a folder within the laptop in C:\USERS\ nga name sa ilang silingan.

    Steps made sa Router:
    Changed Admin Password
    Changed SSID and hide SSID
Changed to WPA2 AES password with characters

    Naka sulod man gihapon.

Try pa nako butangan og MAC Filter inig maka-visit ko didto.

We want this guy off our router, Internet Access and Network Access.
Unsa man dapat buhaton ani? og gi-unsa man ni niya nga naka sulod man?
    Gi-himo niya repeater iyang router?

TENDA d.i wifi sa akong friend.. I don't know sa iyang silingan..

One thing, kung i-on namo iyang wifi, naa'y mo-gawas nga lain nga SSID but lahi og name. Inig off sa router, mawala ra pud..
someone may just be piggybacking your internet.
Simplest way is log to to the internet and stay idle and try checking your friend's upload and download stream data if there's a significant activity.
or just use another wifi router. =)

Actually naa.. Im using this feature to block internet access sa mga connected devices labi na makabalo ko those devices were slowing down the internet since they do have multiple downloads.. What I love sa Tenda is naa sila feature nga ma limit nimo ang bandwidth which is very helpful labi na sa home network nga ang uban users mg cge rag download.. Yet, one day, I decided to give up using Tenda since I can't figure out what's causing the problem.. makakita ko ug almost 100+ connected users sa router..

Showing 50 connected users.. Waaaaaaaaaa how come? Hehe baligya na lng nako kay kapoy figure out ngano even if restored na bag.o nga firmware.. still mao ra japon..
