Usually when you say subway, its an underground tunnel used by trains. (I think so!) What I've heard kay for vehicles ra ang tunnel.Â*

but it is not ideal for trains to be underground...most mass transit systems that are in construction now adays don't go for tunnels coz tunnels are expensive, delicado, and kung maguba ang train lisod sya ifollow up coz its under and one of their reasons is for passenger convinience ky kung underground kuno ang train, puro ngitngit ang makita where as kung onground, dili laayan ang mga passengers coz daghan silag makita nga views. But personally, I don't like trains underground kay wa tay makita, mura rag wa but kung naa sa ground or sa skyway ba, nindot kaayo tan awn nga naay magdagan dagan nga train very visible sa atong syudad.

SUBWAY TUNNEL is also the term used for roads underground for vehicles... like the Segment 3B-2 Cebu subway tunnel...

i herd this from my neighbors dad, that cebu is now planning to put up a kinda MRT or LRT

the fund is not by cebu but NATIONAL!!! and some international Agency like japan, europe and some other asian partners

from wat ive herd there will be two side side by side

starting from Danao- to CAR-CAR

some station point are the FF:
Banilad : probability near to SAn Carlos or BTC
North reclamation near in the new CDU building or maybe near in SM

this project goal is to minimize traffic and to make comuting much easy

IF u got something to ADD pls post it hear, im already excited

THE estimated overall construction is 10B pesos right now nag servy pa sila sa land rail way, w/c is possible to build

maybe by 2010 or 2012 we can all enjoy this transportation heheee

murag dili guro ni subway kay dilikado sa baha ug himuon hinuon ug puy-anan sa ubang squatters..murag ala LRT/MRT style guro kanang naa sa taas..

good news jud ni kay it does minimize traffic..

Yup dugay na ni nga proposal. It was even Congressman Gullas himself who wants this project to be implemented the sooner possible. He said that this should be implemented before the next local elections.

The MRT will pass by where people will most likely converge. Possibly, from Carcar to Tabunok, and then from Tabunok it will pass to N.Bacalso Avenue, and then P.Del Rosario all the way to SM City and then Mabolo and MJ Cuenco all the way to Highway, Mandaue City and then onwards to Danao City. Another phase is also planned that will pass by Capitol and proceed to Ayala Center passing by Escario Street..
