absolutely true. i don't have the capacity or capability to CONTROL what decisions the buyers will make. it's really up to them. but this thread MAY HELP THEIR DECISION! is it a sin?

saying that i'm making 'demand for an official receipt' in istorya.net a norm is ridiculous! as i said before, it's their sole prerogative. i'm not a superhuman with power to control the minds of the people. don't worry bro, i got no hypnotic power! am sure u will still get buyers for ur phones tomorrow and the days to come! just pray they won't demand a receipt! gud luck!
chill mong 2! ang iyahang point as far as ive seen is bhalag wala jud xa nag mention nga DAPAT MANGAYO UG RECIBO kada palit sa cp to avoid daw buying a stolen phone! or was it?

about this matter it is between the buyer and the seller nalang jud.

simple ramn na murag rapud nahug nga nag advice xa! but the way he deliver it in the following repz murag lain namn ug storya...

let's not mis understand each other and RESPECT each other's opinion

for both of you peace! are we cool?

Before ka mo hatag sa money, ask the seller for a personal receipt or bisan unsa like a piece of paper with a statement nga nagpa matuod na imong gipalit ang item ni seller ana nga amount... ask the seller to write his/her complete name dayun info/specs sa item unya pud serial sa item or whatever kung naa or IMEI if Cellphone then date anang adlawa dayun signature ninyo duhaa... then after nimo ma acquire ang receipt/statement, hatag pud dayun ka sa imong money bayad sa item na imo gipalit then apilan dayun nimo ug ask si seller na "Migo/miga ok ra nimo snap shot ta pang security lang?.. ayg kabalaka migo/miga wala na btaw uso barang karun... hehehe.." so far wala pai seller na ni ingun nako "ah.. ka sigurista gud nimo!" hehe... kuha dayun ka imo DSLR... este.. cameraphone diay unya tupad dayun ka niya then picture picture dayun, char! hehe... atleast dili siya lainan kay kamo man duha pa picture (how sweet..) .. im sure if walay hinanggaw iyang item dili na mo balibad ang seller... labi na friendly pud ka ug approach... sayun ug dali ra jud buhaton if buhaton lang jud diba? hehehe...

this way bisan dili pa iyang tinuod nga name iyang ibutang sa statement, atleast you know where he/she lives or bisag giilad kapa niya nga ilaha tong balay pero dili diay to, atleast you have his/her cute face on your CP... daghan naka mabuhat ana.. di man pud cguro ka makig deal if ang seller mag maskara.. unsa, ANBU?

(weeeeeeee! bag-o akong cellphone nice kaayo bleeeeh!)... hehehe..

ok ra man mangayo ug resibo, mao jud nay sakto labi na brandnew ang item, pero naa man ta sa forums gud where item details are already posted,

    ex. selling this phone
    in perfect condition
no receipt no box kay nahabilin sa barko
    unit and charger only

so brfore you meet the seller you already know na walay resibo so even if you're in doubt na stolen ang phone you cant demand a receipt kay gi ingnan na baya ka daan nga walay resibo.

kasagaran baligya dire kay secondhand and dili mani pugsanay, so if ganahan ka nga naay resibo brandnew na lang palita, or pilia lang tong ites nga naay resibo. ana lang,

    hi to all!

i understand ur differing opinions ka-istoryans. however some of us here don't quite get the point am driving at.

the point im driving at for posting this thread is simple: AVOID BUYING STOLEN PHONES! LET'S HELP CURB THE RAMPANT ILLEGAL TRADING OF STOLEN PHONES.

im not seeking any argument here. u can disprove my opinion if u like n i perfectly respect that. but u shud respect my opinion too. u don't need to be so defensive against doing it because it's not imposed on u, is it? if ur currently practicing against what i stated early in this thread, then it's time to make amends if u have d will. if u own a shop which practice this way (trading second-hand phones), then, as a responsible businessman/trader u hold an important role to curb phone snatching or thievery. don't buy phone from someone who can't show u an official receipt. it's the burden of the seller to produce the receipt and other stuff to support his ownership of the phone. at least ur not into a despicable act of abetting the snatchers and crooks.

to avoid patronizing this illegal (ergo, criminal act) trade, we need to be always extra cautious. demanding an official receipt of the phone from the seller is not a hard way to do and it's the only fool-proof way to ascertain that the phone was legally acquired by its owner.

WHEN IN DOUBT, OPT OUT - shud be our motto.

    peace to all!

      • when offered at a very low price compared to the suggested retail price at the shop.
      • if it lacks a product box with manual or any accessories bundled with it such as a battery charger, earphone or headphone, USB connector, etc.
      • if the seller himself doesn't even know how to operate the phone ()
      • if the seller doesn't know some of the features of the phone
What if ang seller wala nakig compete sa uban pud na seller para mahalin dayun kay in need jud kaayu kwarta?

What if wala ang box and it's accesories kay pinadala lang gikan sa gawas nya wala lang giapil ang mga unnecessary things like ang Box Manuals CDs which adds weight sa pagpadala total moandar raman ang phone bisag wala na sila and madownload lang pud ang manuals sa net.

What if ang gipadala na phone sa akoa di jud ko kabaw unsaon pag gamit kay grabe ka techie like mga android/iOS phones?

And what if kay tungod di jud ko kabaw mogamit sa phone kay techie ra kaayu, di pud ko familiar sa features?

Igo man kaayu ako amigo karon naa sa ako tapad karon nagbasa sa imu guide.. As in tanan igo kaayu siya.

Gipadad an siya ug phone sa iya papa gikan Australia and wala giapil ang box manuals CDs ug USB cable kay aron di kaayu mahal ang pagpadala, since nanginahanglan siya ug kwarta nakadecide siya na iya unta ipabaligya ug baratu sa ako kay di siya ganahan makigcompete sa uban kay grabe lagi iyang panginahanglan ug kwarta and arun sad mahalin dayun. Gawas pud di kaayu siya familiar sa phone kay lagi di siya techie na pagkataw and nana man pud siya nokia c3 nya contented na siya ato. Di pud siya familiar sa features ato.. Nya boot ipaibot ana considered as kinawat na diay iyang phone??

Kung ing ana man gani inyo pangutok might as well go for a brandnew ayaw nalang pag second hand..

Lain pay ato, ako ingnon ako ate nga ayaw nalang ibaligya iya relo nga gihatag sa iyang EX Boyfriend kay wala raba toy resibo basin maalaan kinawat

    @ blackDrum

u assume so many usernames huh?

to quote u, "Nya boot ipaibot ana considered as kinawat na diay iyang phone?"

as i said, in the absence of all proof of ownership other than verbose litany from the seller, it's all up to u, the buyer, if u accept the offer and may risk of buying a stolen one.

it's the seller's sole burden to produce the official receipt, not urs. so if u pursue buying the phone knowing that it comes without receipt and other proof of ownership, then that's ur sole prerogative.
